2. This is a NON SMOKING house with ALCOHOL in limited quantities. This is a short vacation ( 4 days) rental house, not a long term rental house.
3. Pets are permitted only up to 45 Lbs.
4. We will not rent to vacationing students or singles under 25 years of age unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.
5. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage/reservation deposit of $150 is required. This must be received at the moment of the booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; the deposit will be refunded deducted of the service fee in case the payment was made via credit card (of 2.5% for national c.c. and 3.75% for international c.c.) within (21) days from the departure, whether the following provisions are met.
a. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
b. No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.
c. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and
soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. One load of
laundry is started.
d. All keys are left on the kitchen table and house is left locked.
e. All charges accrued during the stay are paid directly by the tenant prior to departure.
f. No linens are lost or damaged.
g. No Early check-in or late check-out.
h. Parking tickets are paid prior to departure.
i. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or a local law enforcement officer).
1. PAYMENT - An advance payment equal to 50% (+cleaning fee, taxes and refundable deposit) of the rental rate is required on the day of the booking. The advance payment will be applied toward the room rent. Please make payments in the form: online by e-check (no fee) or by credit card (+ 2.5% or 3.75% international card additional service fee). You can also pay with a regular US check signed to Caterina Frisone and sent to: Jennifer Lourie 5500 Friendship Blvd 1926 N Chevy Chase, MD 20815. The advance payment is not a damage deposit. Last minute booking (within 15 days prior arrival) payment and late balance payments will be due and paid in CASH on the day of arrival.
2. CANCELLATIONS - A thirty (30) days notice is required
for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty and total
refund. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment, including cleaning fee, taxes and refundable
deposit. Cancellation or early departure that are made within fifteen (15) days of the arrival date does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit.
3. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS - Monthly renters must cancel twenty-one (21) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to check-in.
4. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests in the townhouse is limited to five (5) parties. An additional charge or $50.00/night for guests in addition to five (5) will be assessed.
If a rental is taken for less than 2 days, the guest will be charged for two night rate. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods.
6. INCLUSIVE FEES - Rates include a one-time linen-towel setup. Utilities and amenity fees and are included in the rental rate except for extra costs (movies rental, etc.)
7. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate, owner is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring beach towels for going to the swimming pool. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the house. Monthly renters are encouraged to have a professional cleaning at the mid of the month. Professional cleaning at the cost of $150 for the entire house can be requested directly to the owner.
8. RATE CHANGES - Rates subject to change without notice.
9. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretence will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check-in.
10. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.
11. PARKING - Parking is on the street and it is not guaranteed. With our agreement you can try to go to the local Police Department on Idaho Ave. and obtain a Resident parking Permit. Any ticket must be paid before departure.
12. GARBAGE - Garbage is collected on Tuesday and
Friday (garbage+recycle) at 8:00am. Due to the nearby construction works, it could happen that mice come into the house. The house is inspected by Terminix on regular basis and there is no trace of them, but in order to avoid it, trash must be taken out daily. For this reason not leaving food around or dirty dishes in the sink is highly recommended.

This townhouse is absolutely charming in a great location! Because of the stairs I don't know if I would have children under 5 but for my girls 6 and 8 we loved it. There's a great playground 100ft away in the greenbelt. Dupont metro is a 10min walk away, buses that go straight to the National mall are a 5 min walk away right on M street, the main thoroughfare in Georgetown. Also you're completely away from the tourists as there are no close hotels. Don't miss the Wednesday afternoon farmer's market, there's great prepared food and we had a lovely picnic the first evening we were there. I would highly recommend this townhouse.

The location of house is very good, ten minutes walking to the DuPont Circle and is also quite at night. The house is a little old, when walking in the room or stairs, there is noise from wooden floor.
