Hi, we want our guests to have a great time when staying with us, we will guide you to the best things to see and do in London and how to get around, all we ask is that you are as friendly as we are.
We have a lovely room in our Victorian Maisonette. The room is on the ground floor, at the back of the house, overlooking a quiet garden, which is really nice in the summer. We have fully fitted kitchen, dining room, bathroom. Plus free wi-fi. We're very relaxed and flexible.
From near the house you can catch a 417 bus to Streatham Hill Station in 3 minutes or it is a 12 minute walk , or a bit longer to Streatham or Tulse Hill.
From Streatham Hill rail station you can get to Victoria in 15 minutes by train or change at Balham for the Northern Line underground (20 minutes to the centre). Our location is also convenient for Gatwick Airport, which is approx. 30 mins, by train.
Buses run directly from Streatham Hill to the Centre (40-50 minutes) and East London (45-50 minutes) and Brixton (10 minutes) (on Victoria Line underground).
From Victoria is it just 5 minutes to the Museum District at South Kensington.
Nearest Locality is Streatham High Street where you will find many restaurants, supermarkets, and cinema. There is also a corner shop at the end our road where you can get basic provisions.
Brixton is very vibrant and colourful, it has the main shops as well as Brixton Village which should not be missed on your visit to London, it is full of fantastic and cheap restaurants, bars cafe's.
Dulwich Village, which is the original historic part of London, is a beautiful unique village with lovely cottages, shops, restaurants and a really beautiful park and a lovely old english style pub.
Crystal Palace is 15 minutes on the bus, and full of restaurants, lots of lovely english pubs and quirky shops.
It's worth exploring the local area to get a personal view of London, rather than just the tourist attractions in the centre!
You will be able to come and go as you please, as long as you are considerate to us in return.
We want our guests to have a great time when sharing our home, we will give advise and guide you to the best things to see and do in London and how to get around, all we ask is that you are as friendly and considerate as we are.
