.I am a practicing artist/professor des beaux-arts, a child of the sixties, a ghetto girl (born and raised in Detroit!), and am compelled by a mid-west work ethic, which has enabled this fertile, precious piece of the planet: plein avec a fiesty history! The first stone in our village church was put in place, at the end of the 13th Siecle.
I am a humanist, always interested, a good listener, and do not judge (though I have been known to opine strongly!). I am loyal to my friends and family and will always do what I am able to help/support.....5 things I cannot do without?...certainly my sewing machine and my studio outiles; my children/grandchildren; some sort of daily physical exercise; the printed word and NPR.
I lived four years in Istanbul and extensive periods of times elsewhere in the world. I am a respectul guest, aware that I ought to do my part--whatever the need(s) of my host...I travel with economics in mind, though am not "cheap." I walk wherever/whenever possible and/or public transportation. In such a way I don't miss much.
