This apartment is very cozy and ideal for someone coming to Montreal for the summer and would like to share an apt. There is a balcony and deck with BBQ, two great cats and I am a nurse who works 9 to 5. I'm very easy going, love food, and have car.
Fully Functional, comfortable and cozy flat; iron staircase up to comfortable spaces, to rest recharge and then explore the Plateau and City of Montreal. You can expect to feel like you are staying at your cousin's place in Montreal full of character!
Your room is the dark blue room with beautiful older furniture, balcony, rocking chair and small closet. Double bed.
The red guest room has a spool bed, letter writing desk and chair. A set of heavy velvet curtains as the door makes this a very cozy guest room for if family or friends are in town visiting.
Faux fireplace in the living room, with arm chairs and couch, lots of blankets and bookcases. Formal dining room table under skylight and sunny area for morning coffee. Big kitchen with everything you could need to make dream meals. Washer, dryer, wireless internet, dishwasher and microwave, coffee and teapots, and other amenities. Propane BBQ in the back deck with table and benches for 8 people.
This home has everything needed to be both very functional and relaxing.
Location is wonderful for seeing authentic parts of Montreal and the Plateau. It is one block from Park La Fontaine, a large city park with small lake and lots of shady grass space. We are walking distance to many popular streets such as Mont Royal (amazing boutique shopping) St. Denis, Saint Catherine (The Village), Jacque Cartier Bridge, and La Ronde or ile de Notre Dame for Grand Prix (20 minutes walk). You could take a bixi bike to the Old Port or the Place des Art for festivals; Bixi bike station located on our block. I would walk to events on Ile de Notre Dame such as Grande Prix, la Ronde or Loto Quebec firework competition where they close off the Jacque Cartier bridge for pedestrians only.
Public transit metro is 23 minute walk across park and frequent buses going all directions are only one block away. My favorite is a line of taxi's that wait just around the corner by the apartment buildings so you never had to phone a cab. I can arrange for you to use my parking spot as well, but there is also free parking on the street. Bixi station on our block as well.
Grocery store is two blocks away, and a quality convenience store is just at the corner. Their cheeses and morning croissants are great. Gourmet grocery stores, bakeries, butchers and cafes are near, on Avenue de Mont Royal.
Let my home be your own while you are here. I am very easy going and often share meals and my friends with whom ever is around, be it visiting friends, new room mate, or family.
I am a Registered Nurse and my roommate has is going to Vancouver of the summer. Hosting via Air BnB is my next challenge while she is away.
Even if you want to stay for 2 weeks a month, my place can be booked per month and it will be reserved for you.
We can share the whole house and certainly, make it feel like YOUR home as well.
I will be your roommate so I will certainly help you with what every you need. I am fairly busy so you will certainly have your space and the house to your self often, but I am around enough to help out get to know you.
No smoking or additional pets. Also, I am looking for someone who is past the partying stage of their life.
I am a Nurse working at a clinic for University Students. I'm from New Brunswick so am here enjoying Montreal like many others. I am genuine, curious, and easy-going. Having a home to feel totally supported in, while not breaking the bank is so wonderful and I have enjoyed that immensely here at our place. I hope others feel at home when they are here to experience montreal.
The small pleasures of life are worth enjoying, and sharing.
