The Bat Cave (3 rooms, 50Mbps Wifi + KTM station)
2 - 12岁

Where does Batman stay when he is in KL?
He stays here, at The Bat Cave, KL! ;-)

*A fully furnished 3 bedroom condo unit located in walking distance (15 min walk) to the city train line (Batu Caves station) and major roads leading into KL CBD.
At this price, with THREE rooms, being close to the train station, UNLIMITED 50Mbps Wifi AND fully airconditioned, it is the best value in Kuala Lumpur! You wont find any other place like it! ;-)

This is actually our little apartment that we lived in prior to moving to a larger place. It holds so many wonderful memories for us, therefore we decided to keep it and share it on AirBnB. It's a cozy little 3-bedroom apartment, 950 sqft in total, and we purposely 'designed' the interior to give off a different feel/vibe than other apartments. Alas this is what we got, and after years of living in it, we decided to lovingly call it 'The Bat Cave' for the unique feeling of serenity that only a cave can give you. ;-D

The living room, master bedroom, 2nd room and 3rd room ALL have a/c units and ceiling fans.
There are two toilets both complete with warm water showers.
There is a television, cable TV (HyppTV), UNLIMITED high-speed internet Wifi (50Mbps), Android/Web TV (with free streaming movies), fridge, stove for cooking and water filter that dispenses drinkable water.
There is also a washing machine for all your laundry.

*However, please note our unique pricing structure;
The 3rd bedroom is equipped with a bunk bed (for 2 persons) and will be kept locked if there are less than 3 guests. We will unlock it for use if there are more than 4 guests, or by special request. ;-)

Guests will be able to use the facilities in the condominium, i.e.:-
Gym, Swimming pool, children's playground, sauna and squash court.
There is also a launderette, cafe and small grocery store in the premises. All these facilities are located on the 5th floor.

And for guests that arrive with a car; good news: There is 1 secure parking space free of charge.
*And do take note, access to the parking space is the best and most convenient when compared to apartments/condominiums in the area!

We stay 5 mins drive away, so we wont be too far if the guests need assistance. Nevertheless, I leave you to your own devices and respect your privacy.
And I will be sure to give all guests some pointers on what to do, where to visit and how to go there! Just ask! ;-)
However, we also have day jobs, therefore we may not be around but guests can call or text us if they need assistance. And if you'd like to go for a drink, just ask, and we'll try to make time. ;-)

The Bat Cave does not discriminate; therefore all are welcome.
But please, please respect the neighbors (they are great people!), and don't do anything that will disturb the peace.
Do keep the premises clean.
Do turn off all electrical appliances when going out.

Finally, we always get asked why our rates are lower than most other places in Kuala Lumpur. The answer is simple, we believe in AirBnB's slogan of "Don't GO to a country/city. LIVE in the country/city." Meaning, with our lower rates we want to encourage longer stays for travelers. Why Go to Kuala Lumpur, when you can LIVE in Kuala Lumpur? ;-)

Please keep the place clean and tidy.
Plastic trash bags are provided so please move your trash to the garbage/refuse room, especially if the trash bin(s) are full.
Please take your shoes off before entering the apartment.
*Absolutely NO SHOES to be worn in the apartment!
No parties.
No smoking in the apartment. However smoking is allowed on the balcony.
Please do not move the furniture @ change the position of the furniture.
Please be respectful to our neighbours.
Drinking should be done responsibly and only be done inside the unit. No loitering or drinking in the common areas.

Bringing illegal substances and weapons into the apartment is strictly forbidden and will lead to immediate eviction and possible prosecution by the authorities. Please do remember that Malaysia still enforces the death penalty for drug offences.

Upon checking out, the apartment will be inspected within 48 hours. Please ensure that the apartment is left somewhat tidy (the same tidiness as our moms expect it to be will be a good benchmark :))

If there are any damages incurred, it will be taken out from your security deposit.

Loss of keys/pass will incur an RM100 replacement fee.

Finally, please help us save the planet by turning off all air-conditioning and lights when going out. This small gesture also helps to keep the utility bills low, and thus helps us keep our prices low. Your co-operation in this regard is very much appreciated.

This is a great apartment. Jep is very nice and communicative. The neighborhood has some great Indian food and is very close to the batu caves temple. I definitely recommend this place

Jep offered lots of great suggestions for attractions, restaurants, and parks to check out and was very knowledgeable about public transit so could help us figure out the buses and trains. The place is very large, so perfect for a family. It is on the outskirts of the city, so not a busy nightlight and you can get to know the neighbors and locals who are all very kind and open. There is a great weekend market to sample hawker food and buy tasty fruits and deserts. It does take about 20 minutes to walk to the train station, but Uber is quick and easy to take into the city as well.
Thanks for your feedback, guys! Good luck on your journey ahead! Till we meet again. ;-)

The Bat Cave was an excellent home base for our visit to Kuala Lumpur. While located outside the city in the suburb of Batu Caves, it is no problem to take the train or Uber to the city center - something we did every day of our visit. Jep is a terrific host, taking me around the neighborhood on the day of our arrival to point out landmarks, groceries, the train station, and his favorite restaurants. The apartment building has a market, a gym, a pool and a playground, not to mention a view of the Petronas Towers and KL Tower. The AC (main living area and master bedroom only) was cold, the showers hot, and the beds comfy. Also, there is a clothes washer and a kitchen which made life all the easier for our family of seven. What more could you want? The neighborhood is very quiet and not touristy, despite the proximity to the popular Batu Caves Temple, so don't expect lots of souvenir shops, bars or restaurants serving "western" food. Do expect a safe, easy to find, clean, friendly, and very reasonably priced place to stay on a visit to KL.
Thank you for staying at The Bat Cave, Robert, Becky and family. It was a pleasure meeting and hosting all of you. You are all welcome to The Bat Cave if you ever need to come back to Malaysia again. All the best on your journey ahead!

Great place to stay for those going rockclimbing at batu caves. Jeb is really helpful, the home was clean and functional. Good WiFi and facilities!

The house is comfortable and clean. Communication with Jep was excellent. We had a couple of minor issues with the house and they were tended to promptly. The water filter was an awesome addition to the house. The internet was super-fast. I loved that we had access to a database of TV shows and movies. That was an awesome surprise. As we stayed for nearly 7 weeks, I found the kitchen a bit under equipped. It could do with a microwave, a few additional utensils and a new pan. It would be fine for most people staying a few nights. But seriously, it is cheaper to eat out than buy food in KL! The facilities of the condo were good. There is even a convenience shop and cafe in the complex and they served yummy fried rice and noodles for 5rm ($2). The other people in the condo were friendly. The pool was good and the kids loved it. The only thing that I struggled with was the level of noise from the neighbours. I think it is a cultural thing but they come in very late and are very loud. Not Jep's fault, obviously. Just something to take note. Batu Caves is quite far from KL centre but you can walk to the train station in around 15 minutes. Depending on the time, it takes around 30 minutes to get to KL Sentral. For someone wanting to experince the 'real' Kuala Lumpur I would say stay here and have fun!
Thank you Alana. Your constructive feedback/suggestions is greatly appreciated, and I will definitely consider them. Thank you again, and all the best on your journey ahead. :-)
