We really enjoyed staying at Bhakavadee's place. It's very cute and cozy little house located next a beautiful mountain in Chiang Dao and just a few minutes away from the famous Chiang Dao cave and temple. The house is an example of a rustic Thai architecture, it has two floors with the common area, kitchen and facilities downstairs and a bedroom and balcony upstairs. There're two comfortable beds in the house, both protected with mosquito nets, so there wouldn't be a problem sleeping with open windows.
The house has most common facilities, but don't expect too much, kitchen is very basic, but enough for a comfortable short stay.
Bhakavadee's family was very nice and provided us with a barbecue set and we spent a whole enjoying making barbecue in the nature with an amazing view of the mountain covered in clouds.
One thing to note: I think the location on the map in the listing is wrong. The correct GPS coordinates for the place are as follows: (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), and the house is actually located much closer and in much better place than it is on the map.
Another thing to note: if you stay between farming seasons (example: during New Year or before Thai New Year), some of nearby farmers unfortunately may spoil the experience since they constantly burn their farming grounds and the smog won't let you enjoy otherwise super fresh and chilled Northern air.
