This artistic haven occupies 900 sq ft with 2 bedrooms (queens) and 1 full bath, in an open floor plan. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the apartment from each other, and have large custom fabric doorways. The Tangerine was carefully designed and built for nesting in a creative space, while you cozy up to a sweet, gas fireplace in the corner of the living room. Rich colors, mosaic tile patterns, terracotta floors with large area rugs, delight the artist in you and invite you to relax. Enjoy a movie on your flat screen HDTV or access WiFi anywhere, inside and out.
When the sun beckons you, throw open your french doors to a bright and colorful backyard garden, with privacy fencing and trellises. Enjoy a meal on your spacious ground-level deck, rain or shine, that you cooked in your well-stocked kitchen or on your Stok charcoal BBQ, located a few steps into the garden. Custom pine cabinets anoint this darling kitchen and there is a handy little Swedish dishwasher. There is private and secure access to a shared laundry room.
In 3 short blocks, you are in the heart of The Junction, West Seattle's hip urban scene, with something for everyone. Dozen's of shops and yummy restaurants, a playhouse, the fabulous Bakery Nouveau and a Sunday Farmer's Market are all clustered here. Alki Beach is only 2 mi away, the quintessential NW beach park, Lincoln Park, and Vashon Ferry dock are 1mi away. The downtown water taxi shuttle and city bus transit exchange are right here! Get on the 18-hole golf course 1/2 mi away. Take stand-up paddle board lessons, with the most amazing view of downtown, 1.5 miles away. You could spend you entire trip in West Seattle, but don't miss downtown, the heart of which is 6 miles away, and both stadiums are 5 miles. The airport is only 10 miles south!

The Tangerine Dream has a private, ground level entrance and deck, a dedicated parking space, secure access to shared laundry room, and enjoyment of the fenced backyard garden.
I take my cues of guest interaction from my guests. For longer terms, I usually show the guests around, when they arrive. For quick visits, we make arrangements for obtaining the keys. From time to time, I come around and tend to the garden, so can make arrangements with guests to do this at a time that best suits. I welcome guest contact for anything that comes up (I live 2 miles away), and I am respectful of a guests desire for privacy. I value and practice good communication!
The Tangerine Dream welcomes guests who are considerate and respectful of all the care and love that have gone into creating this special place. Wild ones or loud night owls will be a better fit somewhere else. There are quieter hours from 10pm-8am. The Sweet Orange occupies the main floor. Please bring your happy vibe and take good care of my house, and you will have a great time!

*The Tangerine Dream does not host parties and gets much quieter from 10pm-8am. Noise consideration for other household guests is a must.
*Cleaning fees range from $85-125, depending on length of stay.
*Very young children are discussed on a case-by-case basis, for suitability to the property.
*Small pets are considered and require a non-refundable pet fee of up to $100 pp.
*WA state requires a 9.6% occupancy tax for all rentals under 30 days, and this is collected by Airbnb.
*The Tangerine Dream is planet-friendly. Recycling and composting is required by Seattle City ordinance, so we require your compliance.
