I'm renting the large attic of my house which has its own separate entrance and exit. The house is located in the East Rock neighborhood of New Haven, which is one of the safest and most popular places to live in the city, about a mile away from Yale
This is the entire attic of my house, which is essentially two rooms. It is very minimal in that it really only has a bed and a futon so two or more people can actually stay here. The attic has a lot of empty space, one room is completely empty. I have some of my things stashed in the attic but they should not get in your way. The attic has windows and tall ceilings so it's more like an apartment floor.
There is a separate entrance and exit for the attic so you can come and go as you please. One caveat is that the attic does not have a bathroom so you will have to walk a short flight of stairs to my floor (10 feet) to use my bathroom. You can use my refrigerator and kitchen if you'd like, and there is a washer/dryer available for you to use.
I am new to AirBnB which is why I don't have many reviews. I stay on the second floor of the house below the attic. So if I'm home, I'm around if you have additional questions or need assistance with anything. If you really need a ride somewhere, I may be able to help you out if it's not far and I'm around. The train station is only 2-3 miles away from my house and Yale University is 1-2 miles away.
I have a medium size dog that does not really bark or make noise, so it will likely not impact your stay.
I am new to Airbnb renting out my space. I've used the site on my travels and found it to be a great experience so I'd like to do the same for others. I work at Yale doing mental health research and providing services. I love traveling and hope to meet fellow travelers.
