The house was built in 1927 for Kid Wilson, an interesting Cody character. In 1946 he sold to Breck Moran, editor of the Cody Enterprise our local newspaper. Breck was an Ivy League educated man who dug out the basement to add the two bedrooms and bath and laundry as his family grew. Nick Patrick, a local native, added much to the charm of the house before it returned to the Moran family. It was purchased by Ann Simpson from Betsy Moran Sartou in April of 2015. It has been lovingly restored, with a new roof, plumbing, electrical , lawn sprinkler system and is in beautiful condition. Scout's Rest also has a brand new air conditioning system that has been installed 6-2016

The house was perfect for our trip. Centrally located for everything we wanted and needed to do.

We highly recommend staying at Katie's place! Great location and a nice home! This was our first visit to Cody and we will definitely be back and we will definitely make this the place to stay!!

Great place to be while exploring Cody and the area. Really comfortable and attractive home which is just as presented in listing. Quiet nice neighborhood very convenient for walking to town, dinner, etc. Wonderful front porch for coffee, really nice food stuffs for breakfast, walkable to nice coffee shop, lovely back deck and yard. Nicely appointed and well cared for home.

Ann moved us to a different property, which was perfectly nice, very large, and for the same price. She communicated the move well in advance too.

Great, clean, spacious, lots of neighborhood wildlife...

The house was great. The location was about a half a mile down town so it was convenient to the shops. For four motorcyclists, it was perfect to have separate rooms and access to the washing machines. We did not have cable or satellite TV which is just something that you take for granted these days. All-in-all, it was a great experience.
