Down the road from the famous boarding schools of Dalanwala, including Welham Girls’ & Welham Boys’ Schools, the building is over 100 years old, a remnant of beautiful colonial architecture, with huge arches & high ceilings. Its been decorated with utmost care and passion with collectibles from all over the country and elsewhere. Old family photographs adorn the walls. This space is
green, clean and quiet, and in one of Dehradun's oldest and most central neighbourhoods - Dalanwala.
It's cozy, on the first floor, has woody interiors & absolute peace and quiet. Ideal for those who don't seek a lot of services, but a calm, cozy private space.
Mainly looking for parents visiting their wards, families and women travellers, but also open to everyone else.
Guests have a separate entry, separate bathroom and separate room with a large open balcony with a small covered sitting area. The rooftop veranda has plants and sitting space, while the veranda downstairs and the front garden are also accessible to the guests.
I am available for as little or as much interaction as is required by the guests.
I expect my guests to be sincere and responsible and keep their surroundings clean.
Breakfast is the primary meal that can be made available. Breakfast will mostly be a simple Indian/continental vegetarian affair with tea/coffee. Although I am a vegetarian, eggs can be made available if requested in advance.
Should you prefer, other meals during the day can also be made at home but please do give the host a prior notice if you'd like them. There are a number of restaurants & fast food chains that deliver to the house and the host would be happy to assist you in ordering.
There are two pet dogs in the house, who are fairly well behaved and friendly, and do not have access to the guest space. Guests are welcome to meet and play with them.
