Just two miles from Downtown Denver and 3 blocks from picturesque Sloan's Lake, this is an excellent base from which to explore some of the trendiest hot spots in Denver. Walk, bike, or take the bus to Highlands Square, LoHi, Tennyson St, and LoDo. This two-room basement apartment is small and ideal for two people; although, it can accommodate up to four.
Enter through your own private entrance into the basement apartment of this Sloan's Lake/Highlands home. Because this is a basement apartment, the ceilings are low and the space may feel small for folks above average height. The first bedroom has a queen sized bed and (very) small ensuite bathroom with tub/shower, toilet, and sink. The second bedroom can serve as a lounge area (no TV) or can accommodate two more people as it features an L-shaped couch which opens into a full sized bed. The space includes a small kitchenette, complete with mini-fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, water dispenser, and basic dish ware. The apartment description is "cozy" for a reason; it's best for just two people but if you're okay being close, four can fit. If you want a place to relax and sleep in a chill Denver neighborhood after exploring all day and don't need a lot of space, this could be the lodging for you.
Guests will pass through the patio area that runs along one side of the house, passing the home's main entrance, accessing their apartment in the rear of the house.
You will receive simple instructions for accessing the property. Hosts will not necessarily meet you face to face, but may be available to welcome you if desired. Hosts will be reachable any time via phone and will have a contact person close by who can come over if any issues arise.
While this space is private and guests will be the only ones with access to the apartment, it is part of a larger home. As such, guests should expect to hear other occupants (footsteps from above can be heard in this somewhat creaky 1938 home, as well as TV sounds/voices) or run into them in the outdoor shared spaces. However, guests should feel comfortable coming and going as it suits their needs. Additionally, since it is a basement apartment, ceilings are low. If you are above 6'1" in height, this would not be a comfortable stay.
This apartment complies with the City and County of Denver's Short-Term Rental requirements (2016-BFN-0008636).
This is our home and we invite you to treat it as yours while you are here by respecting your surroundings as you enjoy the space. Please use care in your use of all amenities, appliances, and furniture. Please remove shoes upon entry (as the entire space is newly carpeted) and do not smoke cigarettes inside. Be respectful of neighbors.
I'm from New York but have lived in Colorado for about 12 years and love it here! I enjoy hanging out with my family & friends, riding bikes, camping, hiking, gardening, seeing live music, and teaching English. I'm a mom to two little boys & am married to a pretty awesome guy who shares my affinity for traveling. We love to get out and explore everything from remote wilderness areas to huge urban centers and enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. My favorite things to do when exploring are experience the food, the outdoors, and the culture. We started as Airbnb guests and always had great experiences. We're enjoying this new phase of having enough space to be hosts!
