Being the first time I've used AirBnB to source accomodation outside of Australia, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy and casual my communication with our host Karen was. I had booked the house some months in advance but still every question/request right up to just before we left Oz was met in a timely and friendly manner. Even when the original villa I selected for our group of 7 fell through Karen kindly upgraded us to a bigger house at no extra cost. The location is not far from the main attractions of Kuta though I would recommend using the villa driver Cat-Cat for travel throughout your stay. There was one night when we arrived back to the house at 1130pm to find the hot water system had burst and flooded the kitchen but after a phone call to the villa manager Nyoman, he arrived promptly to access and within the hour fix and clean up the minor hiccup. Overall my friends and I really enjoyed our stay and I would recommend using Karen to anyone.

This villa is lovely! Modern, spacious, clean and great for families. The staff were all so helpful and went above and beyond to meet all of our needs. Cat cat was great and made sure we never ran out of beer! The pool is a nice size to cool down in and the aircons work perfectly. The location is good, not too far from Kuta, but a little bit tricky to find the first time. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice place. Plenty to do around. Great driver, Cat Cat was amazing and very helpful. About 10min from airport. House was clean. Was great for our family of 6.

Best place to stay in kuta! Location, service, the villa everything was perfect. Karen provided everything to make our stay comfortable. From local phone to contact numbers, everything was available. The villa is everything that is shown in the pics. Located near all the major attractions in kuta. Manager Nyomin was so humble and helpful in all ways. Loved it!

Host wasn't in Bali. She has a manager Nyoman to attend to her houses but Nyoman was sick so we didn't get to meet him. There was some communication error so we couldn't get our house until 8:30pm. Quite awful for us since we had an 80 year old grandpa and a 5 year old child who needed to take regular afternoon naps. Karen compensated with free breakfast. Chef wasn't so willing to cook variety of breakfast for us, so it's like either all continental with bread and pancakes OR all asian with either fried rice or fried noodles. Since we have total 9 pax with different preferences, the inflexibility of our breakfast choices were again another disappointment. We managed to negotiate for what we wanted eventually, but would be better if it went without the need to negotiate. On 1st day of arrival, the floor were full of sandy and deck chair was totally drenched. I sat on it and got my pants wet at once. *Annoying. Cleanliness upkeep wasn't very good, some parts are cleaned but some aren't. Master toilet ventilations wasn't very good and had some foul smell. We asked for late check out and was granted for free. However, nobody came to keep the breakfast that day, so we have those leftover food on the table till late afternoon. *Awful. Laundry was pretty cheap and they delivered what they promised to collect on the same day evening.

Hi Anna, I expected these comments from you. As explained to you I unfortunately overlooked that our guests who were departing on the day that you were checking in had already organised a late check out. I spoke to you directly and apologized for my error. It was understandable that you were not happy about checking in late. To compensate for my error I organized for our chef to come to the villa each morning to cook breakfast for your group of nine guests free of charge. When you departed I also allowed you to have a late check out without charge as you had a late flight. I was horrified that you could not check in at the normal checkin time of 2pm. Our aim is for our guests to have a stress free holiday and I very rarely make mistakes, but we are all human. Because of my checkin error I believe from then nothing was going to make you happy. Our previous guests have stated how clean out villas are and how delicious the breakfast is that our chef cooks. If a guest has sat on the outside lounge chair in the pool area making it wet from their swimming costume that is totally out of my control. Although our Villa Manager was very sick, Cat Cat our staff member did look after you during your stay. I also do not appreciate the comment that you made to Cat Cat that I deliberately double booked the day of your checkin to make more money.... this is not what we are about at all. We also experienced a problem with you refusing to provide copies of your passport as clearly stated in our house rules. Thank you for eventually providing them. Kind Regards, Karen.

This is my first trip to Bali. And i would say the first place that attracted me was the fantastic VILLA TAWA, the villa was beautiful. The pool is clean and warm, the aircon were strong and cold. And walking distance to the main shopping street was not far! We met Cat-Cat (driver) at airport with warm welcome and he's also our driver throughout our stay at Bali. I would strongly recommend Cat-Cat as your driver. I would like to thanks our host Karen to have such a wonderful teams that managed the villa... Thanks!

This place was everything it was advertised to be. A little hard to find but well worth the effort. Interior is elegant, serene and immaculate. Furniture and bedding top f the line and the location is convenient to center of Kuta activities. The staff is very attentive and Karen specially is a fantastic and accommodating host.
