Hi Andrew thank you or the review. Eagles Nest is set in a subtropical environment that is full of an abundance of wildlife. We have lyre birds, king parrots that can be hand fed, a wombat that lives in the garden and yes in the Aussie bush there are skinks and blowflies. In fact there is such an abundance that we have a sign in the chalet that says if you leave the windows or doors open that these wonderful animals might follow you in. No different to being at home really. It is for this reason that we also provide fly spray. As Eagles Nest is also set at 600ft elevation which gives it the most amazing views in the Yarra Valley we do have a long unique and in some areas steep driveway. But in saying that, every guests is warned about the driveway and as it is concreted I have had trucks delivering 4 metres of wood, concrete trucks and even a fire truck get up there with no issue. If those large trucks can make it up there then any car can. I also have guests use it for exercise which I know your group enjoyed so it does have its positives.
