Megan and Davis' beautiful house was the perfect place for our vacation with friends! Our two cars fit perfectly in their parking spaces and helped tremendously with neighborhood parking. We felt instantly comfortable and right at home at their place. It really is quite charming and picturesque and we were very happy to be staying there for our vacation. Megan gave clear communication before and during our stay, and was easily reachable if we needed anything.
Megan provided comfortable towels for us, clear directions for everything in the house, and two fans to help cool off at night. The location of their house could not have been better; so many great restaurants and bars that were easy to walk to, and the neighborhood itself, the Plateau, was beautiful and fun for people watching.
The sauna, piano, and sound system were the three features of their home that made our friend vacation so much fun and relaxing for down-time talking and laughing and catching up with each other.
There were only two slight downsides to our stay. First, the right side of the shower door was broken and really sensitive to touch. If an elbow or knee happened to hit it while entering or leaving the shower, or even inside while showering, the door fell off track. This was really startling because it made us think we broke the door. Megan and Davis in the written house manual indicated that they were in the process of replacing it, so this issue will most likely be moot for the next visitor.
Second, the sleeping situation as it stands now is not ideal for 6 adults, or rather, 3 adult couples. This is because the only real comfortable bed in the house is the king bed in the master bedroom. We knew when we booked the reservation that there was a pull-out sofa and smaller beds in the children's room, and were fine with this because the reviews said that both were comfortable. However, our experiences with the non-king beds was that sleeping on them for 4 nights was not an overall comfortable situation as couples.
The full bed in the children's room felt like there was a rod down the middle of it that was uncomfortable to roll over when sleeping, so my partner and I switched to the smaller twin bed on the floor, which was very comfortable to sleep on, just small for a couple. Our friends on the sofa bed were fine sleeping on it for 2 nights, but not so fine after 4 nights. If there was a futon instead of a pull-out, and if the full bed in the children's room matched the feel of the twin mattress, then I would say their home is great for 6 adults/3 adult couples.
Again, those two hiccups aside, we really enjoyed our time at Megan and Davis', which facilitated our great vacation to Montreal. We will definitely share this listing with friends visiting the city!
