In the heart of Manhattan's Alphabet City. Rare, tastefully furnished and clean apartment. Ideal for artists, designers, architects, and writers or for those who want to live among them. Top floor, light filled with big windows and tall ceilings.
Joshua has been more than helpful throughout the duration of my stay. I visited the apartment before I moved in to meet him in person. He was very welcoming and thorough to show me his spotless apartment and answer any questions that I would have. He made me feel right at home by offering access to his remaining provisions. One of my favorite things about the apartment was the high quality speakers in the living room and bedroom (and the large flat screen across from the bed, which I connected my Chromecast to). The bedroom is very spacious; it gets a lot of light during the day, and during the evening the lava lamps add a hypnotic touch. Joshua has an inspiring taste for art, music and literature, which is seen throughout the apartment. As a native New Yorker, I can tell you that this is one of the most exciting places to live in terms of culture and nightlife. Bars, restaurants, shops, concert halls, and art galleries are just a hop, skip, and a jump away... everything is walking distance. Unlike many parts of NYC, the neighborhood ("Alphabet City") has lots of wild birds, including beautiful turtle doves that visited weekly to sing soothing songs behind the window on the bedroom air conditioner. This has stay has been a very memorable experience for my boyfriend and me during his visit to New York. We feel fortunate to have stayed here! Terrific find!
