This is a charming sunny spacious 1938 three bedroom home in the middle of Westwood, walking distance to Century City and only minutes from Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and the beach. Master bedroom with private bathroom opens onto a private deck.
Clay was amazingly hospitable throughout our stay. We booked literally last minute yet Clay was always accommodating. The house was beautiful as was the neighbourhood. We slept extremely comfortably and in fact were intrigued at what bed accessories were used to replicate them at our own place, it was that comfortable. Back to Clay though, we really enjoyed conversing with him, this was the first time I AirBnB'd in a shared place and it was an amazing experience which I would love to do again if all hosts were as kind and welcoming as Clay. The location was always perfect, in between everything great in LA! If we're ever back, I'll be sure to stay here.
Clay made us feel completely welcome. He was generous in providing amble food for our breakfast and asked if we had specific needs. We made use of the kitchen for breakfast. The garden area is lovely. The home had a comfortable feel and the art work was intrequing. The bed was big and comfortable. We enjoyed having the dogs around. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. We would definately want to stay again.
This was our first BnB experience, and we will now look to this kind of lodging in the future. Our host met us with a warm welcome, some food for breakfast, and answers to all our questions. His home was fully equipped, the kitchen was newly remodeled, the art and crafts were an added pleasure to our trip. The first morning we were at the house, we spent in his private luxurious garden, taking photos, reading, and restoring ourselves. Filled with song birds, and flowers, the 3 bedroom 2 bath home was extremely comfortable, beyond our expectations. We had use of the entire house for our stay for our stay, which made it particularly attractive. I don't know if that is always the case.
This was my first experience with Airbnb (as well as my first time in LA) and it was absolutely wonderful thanks to Clay hosting us in his beautiful home. He and his daughter offered great food and bar recommendations to my friend and I. It will be difficult for future Airbnb reservations to live up to this fantastic first experience! The home is in a great location in addition to its charm. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Wow for his first foray into airbnb, Clay could not have been a better host! The pictures show a welcoming and cozy place, and they were spot on. I felt very at home here. The bed was super comfortable, and the neighborhood felt so safe and quiet. Yet, it was a short walk to the Westfield mall and the Hyatt Century City where I had a conference. The location could not have been better. I enjoyed chatting with Clay, and I was kind of sorry not to have the opportunity to talk more. If I was in LA again, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Dara, thanks for the encouraging words. I bought an iron for future guest use. And I will respond to your note about drawer space. There's not much i can do about the water issue - the house was built in 1938! The water heater is located in the front of the house and takes a few moments to reach the back. Hope you can get out to Montana for some skiing this winter. And I can get to Telluride.
