Our flat is situated very near the Canebière, behind the music Conservatoire, and we are a mere 10 minutes walk from the train station or the Old Port. The very lively and trendy neighbourhood of the Cours Julien is 5 minutes walk from our quiet street. The neighbourhood is full of lovely cafés, bars and restaurants but also independent bookshops and record shops, second-hand bookshops and antics, plus lovely designers shops (jewelry and clothes). The tram is down the road, and the métro stops of Noailles, Réformés and Notre Dame du Mont are 10 minutes walk from us.
The flat is on the 3rd floor of an early 19th century building very well looked after; it is a typical Marseillais flat, a "Three windows". We have a small balcony ideal for an apéritif or a sunny breakfast. There are two bedrooms, a large one and a smaller one (our baby's). The flat is perfect for a couple with children, and our living room is quite large with a very comfortable sofa which can turn into a bed. One or two more adults could be manageable. The bathroom is a very small one, but the shower is lovely! We will supply bath towels, linen, duvets, and extra blankets.
The style of our flat is made of what we love: a lots of books, records and objects we took with us from our travels or found in antic shops and second hand charity shops!
The kitchen is well equipped and wifi is available.
It would be a pleasure for us to welcome you and give you tips and advice about Marseille, and let you know about our favourite places and activities. We hope very much that you will love Marseille, a vibrant, exciting and beautiful city, as much as we do.
More photos to come!!
Nous préférerions que les fumeurs se retrouvent sur le balcon!
We would love if the smokers could meet up on the balcony!
