This room has access to balcony overlooking the sea and a queen size bed.
Would you like to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the Mediterranean beneath your window in one of the most breathtaking locations on the Riviera? We have a private room in a stunning historic villa with an easy-going host who enjoys having a house full of people.
This wonderfully furnished room is in the style of the Belle Epoch. Direct access to a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, a desk, an attached boudoir, and Murano chrystal make this a wonderful room for a woman. The bathroom is just across the hall; the toilet also is on the hall.
The villa was originally built in 1900 for the founder of the modern French navy and has remained in the same family for 5 generations. Over the years it has played host to artists, writers, composers and politicians and now you can stay here too! The villa is a landmark residence occupying a prominent position on the Cote D'Azur between St Raphael and Cannes. The town of St Raphael is half-way between Cannes and St Tropez at the foot of the Esterel hills. Nice-Cote D'Azur airport is approximately 50 minutes drive and there is plenty of private parking on site. Trains directly from Nice to Le Drammont station, a five minute walk to the villa, take about an hour.
The house is situated in over an hectare of gorgeous gardens and grounds, wonderful for dogs who are welcome, with panoramic views of and direct private access to the Mediterranean Sea. The house is furnished in period style and is full of character. The kitchen is available for meals (or just breakfast, tea/coffee and other light use, as you want). The house does not have television or wifi but does boast a well-stocked library and therefore is the perfect place to switch off from the world and enjoy total relaxation. Alternatively explore the trails of the Esterel hills on your doorstep either on foot or quad bikes; take a short drive to the town of Agay for all kinds of water sports including kayaking, wind surfing and parasailing or a 25km drive along the magnificent Corniche takes you right into Cannes.
While the kitchen is available to all guests, prompt cleanup after use is the responsibility of the guest(a). Failure to do so will result in immediate loss of kitchen use. Pots and pans must be washed immediately after use for the next guests to use and NOT put into the dishwasher. No parties allowed and additional guests must be preapproved.
I'm a displaced American working on this old family home. A very relaxed man with a fondness for conversation describes me. Travel, watches and watch repair, history, mountain climbing and friends; these things I adore. I have climbed Kilimanjaro, and visited about twenty-four countries. I enjoy settling in to get to know the people. As a host, I am laid back and enjoy having a house full of guests. My aim is to make everyone's stay as fantastic as possible.
