In the winter the Tiny is cozy warm with a radiant heater. The house is private. The kitchen has two induction cook tops, toaster oven, electric kettle, French press for coffee, small fridge--everything for basic cooking.
Guests are welcome to all the outdoor spaces of the farm. The roads are safe for walking or taking a run.
I will be as available as needed but respect your privacy. I will follow your lead. text when you arrive and I will know we have a connection. Not all carriers work.
We live in the country and it's quiet for the most part but I can't guarantee a neighbor won't run a lawn mower or other noise maker during your stay. What can you do?
I have maps, local food guides and recommended hikes. I can also direct you to a great place to eat if you tell me what you like. There are too many great choices to list.
My cat, Miss Lucy, and my dog, Mr. Rex, say no to other pets. Mr. Rex, the fastest Dachshund on earth, is super friendly and loves to jump, which we discourage with the hand-over-the-heart signal. Please, no smoking, inside.
I am a working mom with a tiny farm in a beautiful location with long range views of Pisgah Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Being outside is always preferable to being inside so I am always looking for excuses to be outside. My garden always needs more than I can give it but that doesn't stop me trying. It constantly amazes me that all food comes from the earth.
People's stories fascinate me so I love to travel and meet new people. I really believe that everyone is doing the best they can and if they could do better they would. As a host, I want to be helpful to my guests but I also want to give them their privacy.
