30 min from central London by bus or tube (Northern). Archway (northern line) is 15 min walk way, numerous buses to Central London 5 min walk away.
The house dates from 1927 and has been fully converted from the inside to make it a bright, welcoming space.
The bedrooms are comfortable and absolutely quiet at night ensuring you a very good night's sleep.
The kitchen is fully equipped with double oven, 4 gas cooker, Smeg fridge/freezer, bread maker, nespresso coffee machine, shake mixer, microwave, kettle, le creuset pans/pots and all the cooking ustensils you'll ever need.
The lounge is spacious with wooden floors throughout. We have just added a swing chair to make the most of the views through the floor to ceiling windows with a cocktail or cup of tea in hand.
The garden on the west side comes with an outdoor L shaped sofa space, additional tables and chairs area and barbecue for al fresco dinners. The kitchen has double doors which interconnect with the garden, a great layout for making the most of summer evenings.
Staying at this property you will be able to enjoy the proximity to world famous Highgate cemetery, where many well known figures are buried (including Karl Marx), and stunning Waterlow park 3 min walk away.
The house is also a short walk from Highgate village or Hamsptead Heath.
The bottom of Swains lane has excellent local restaurants, delis and cafes; the top of Swains lane leads to the heart of Highgate village, with its numerous pubs, some dating back from the 15th century and trendy gastro pubs and shops.
The centre of town is within easy reach either by bus direct to Oxford Street (C2) or Kings Cross and Liverpool st (214), or the underground with Archway on the Northern line 15 min from the centre.
You will have use of the whole house and garden. Linen, towels and basics like tea, coffee and condiments are provided.
We will leave the keys out for you so you can enjoy a flexible check-in time. We are on hand for any questions or request if necessary.
The house is well equipped with Nespresso machine, bread machine, pans etc We even have a waffle maker! There is plenty of sofa space including one outdoors for lounging in the garden (cushions stored in a basket inside the house). There is also a wood burner in the living room.

Please do not wear high heels in the house, the wooden floors have just been redone and the varnish is fragile.
We have a spiral staircase, which may not be suitable to very young children or anyone requiring disabled access.
