Our Condo is on the third and fourth floors at the top of E building at the quiet end of the Beach convenient to the Marina. Building E faces East allowing for lovely breezes and gorgeous views. From this location, so close to the water, you have an unobstructed, panoramic View of the Sapphire Blue Caribbean Sea and Colorful, ever-changing Skies from Sunrise to Sunset. St. John and the British Virgin Islands form the backdrop and provide dots of sparkling lights at night. The boats coming in and out of the Marina are beautiful and calming. The property has a Marina, White Sand Beach with Swimming Area, Coral Reefs, and an Oceanfront Pool. This Ideal East End Location is less than a mile from Red Hook with Restaurants, Harbor and Ferry Service.
With its two floors, our condo offers comfort and flexibility for couples or families. Both levels of this condo have Full Bathrooms with Showers and hair dryers. For your sleeping comfort are a King size Bed upstairs, featuring a Therapedic Memory Foam Pillow Top Mattress, under a Cathedral Ceiling, and Queen size Sofa Beds on both levels that are new, highly rated, easy to use models. A Quiet, Top Level Workspace with a Toshiba computer and unlimited WiFi is provided for those who need it but don't want to give up the view. The Full Kitchen is equipped with Stainless Steel Appliances, Glass Cooktop, Cookware, Dinnerware and Electric Grill. Food and Drinks can be enjoyed at the Indoor Table, on the Balcony, Poolside or Beachside.
The main floor has a 50" Sony Smart TV with Netflix Streaming Video, a Sony Play Station 3 with Games for all ages plus a DVD Player with a large selection of DVD Movies. The Bedroom Suite at the top level has a 42" Toshiba, LCD, Flat-Screen TV, Sony Play Station 2 with Games, Netflix, and a Sony DVD Player with Movies.
You will appreciate this Beautiful Beach and Convenient Location. Snorkeling is great fun at the Coral Reef in crystal clear water right out in front of E Building. High Quality Snorkel Gear for 6 in two sizes is stored in this condo for guest use. A Dive In shop on the beach has water sports equipment available for rental. Sapphire Beach has two active Reefs, a large Swimming area and a cascading, bi-level, oceanfront Pool. Sea Grape trees, along the water's edge, provide shade allowing for hours of relaxation while enjoying the sound of the waves and the gentle breezes. Adjacent to Building E, the Sapphire Beach Marina offers Boating, Diving, Sailing and Fishing trips to meet all purposes of visitors.
Sapphire Beach Bar, directly on Sapphire Beach, serves grilled sandwiches, salads and drinks. The Sapphire Bar & Grill, a full service restaurant and bar at Sapphire Village, is easily walkable from E Building. Less than a mile away is the village of Red Hook where you will find most anything you may want or need including numerous restaurants, urgent care, pharmacy, post office, laundromat, groceries plus a Ferry service (pedestrian and auto) to St. John and the British Virgin Islands. A rental car company, All Around Car Rentals, is located at the entrance drive to Sapphire Beach.
St. Thomas has many attractions and activities within easy driving distance such as Mahogany Run Golf Course, Magens Bay, Coral World, Zip-Lining, Hiking Trails, Sky-Lift, Botanical Gardens, Drake's Seat, and more. Colorful downtown Charlotte Amalie, the capital city, is a 25-minute drive and offers duty-free shopping. A 20 minute ferry ride will take you to St.John and a 30-minute seaplane flight will take you to historic St. Croix.
St. Thomas’ temperatures hover around a pleasant 80 degrees all year. You can adjust your indoor temperature with thermostats on both levels and Central Air Conditioning/ Heat. Ceiling fans and ocean breezes add to the comfort of island living. The island topography is hilly and absolutely gorgeous with lush tropical foliage and ocean views from almost everywhere.

A strong Security System is in place with lighting, cameras and personnel available 24 hours a day. The Exterior of Building E underwent a complete Renovation the summer of 2015. Sapphire Beach is a beautiful location and a perfect place to unwind. Renting there (which we have done for more than 8 years in a row along with 3 other couples) can be hit and miss. We learned of Mary's unit a couple of years ago and won't rent any other! We even stayed one night at the Ritz to wait until her place was available to join our friends at Sapphire Beach. It is well appointed, comfortable, has everything you would need and Kathleen (her manager) keeps the place spotless with clean towels replaced every day. If something come sup or you have a question, Mary responds within minutes. We will be back again next January! January 2017
A great condo literally 50 feet from the water's edge! 5 of 5
We recently stayed at Mary's condo for 12 days and enjoyed every minute. Being on the marina side of the resort was a huge plus for us. We'd have our coffee in the morning at sunrise and watch the sun come up over St John and the boats cruising out to begin their day. We often did the same thing in the evening with a few cold ones before dinner. Any stress that we brought with us from the mainland quickly melted away. It was so cool to have a balcony on both levels and glance out at the incredible scenery constantly. That view of St John and the other cays and islands will be etched in my memory forever. Obviously incredible photo ops! In between we'd walk the beach, catch rays and read at the pool, visit many good to great restaurants in Red Hook, shop in Charolette, take the ferry to St John or go on a sailing trip. Tip: Use the safari taxi to go to Red Hook. Its a dollar a person and runs every 10-20 minutes. Kathleen can tell you the best way to walk to the main road. The condo itself is in great condition and more than adequately stocked with the necessities. It all comes back to Mary, who we agreed is the best owner we have encountered. You can feel her attention to detail all around you in the condo and she responded quickly to a few issues we had via email. If your comparing other condos in the resort, the E building has the best location with its proximity to the jetty and marina, both for the quiet and views. We will be back!!

Nicest, Cleanest Unit at Sapphire Beach 5 of 5
My wife and I have been going to Sapphire Beach for the last 6 years with a group of 3 other couples. One of them owns a 2 story unit there and the rest of us have booked directly through the management company. Our previous experience was hit and miss..sometimes dirty units, poor furnishings, iffy service. This year we used (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and found Mary's 2-story unit and we're thrilled that we did.
Mary's unit is an immaculate 2-story condo that is newly furnished, immaculately clean and comes with everything you could ever want...extensive kitchen items, win fins and snorkels, noodles for swimming beach towels, daily towel replacement and light clean up by friendly staff, 2 full baths, TV with Netflix, High speed internet, Bose stereo, ceiling fans on both floors, nice balcony settings with furniture, a spotless grill, etc, etc..
Mary herself is a delight to deal with. She responds within hours if we send her an email with questions. She emails you a list of recommended restaurants, activities, things to know and do, etc.. She included a link to a food service(URL HIDDEN) we used to pre-purchase our food , beverages and other miscellaneous things we would have normally gone to the store for once we arrived. When we got to our unit it was all there and the cold items had already been placed in the refrigerator and freezer.
Mary, and her local property manager, Kathleen, are so responsive your head could spin. A few days into our stay the toaster stopped working properly. A very minor issue that could happen to anyone. I mentioned it in an email to Mary only so she would know for the next client. Within hours Kathleen was at our door apologizing and promising to have a new toaster (in red..everything matches at Mary's unit) that afternoon. That is service!
I'd also add that we were very happy with building E. It's one of the most recently renovated, has a wonderful view and a little bit less foot traffic than the other buildings. We have stayed in B, C and D before. We would pick E again.
We're already planning next year's trip back to this unit!

My husband and I just returned from our second stay at “Cheeseburger in Paradise” and enjoyed our stay as much, if not more than last year. The condo is very well equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, noodles, a cooler and a float. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare dinner and we especially enjoy using the blender for a late afternoon frozen, fruity drink on the deck, watching the different boats sail by. It truly is hard to pull yourself away for the spectacular view from the deck. The mid-week cleaning is an added plus. There are a few changes from our stay from last year. Mary has decorated the condo with lovely canvas prints of scenery around Sapphire Beach and has added new, sun-filtering blinds to the doors leading to the third and fourth level decks.
We enjoy visiting other nearby islands and the condo is close to the ferry terminal in Red Hook. I highly recommend taking the car barge to St John for a day of beach hopping, the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay for dinner and sunset or a day trip to Jost Van Dyke.
Mary is a pleasure to work with and we look forward to visiting Cheeseburger in Paradise again next year. Thank you, Mary, for sharing your condo with us.

Another Fantastic Trip!
We returned to one of our favorite places to stay: Cheeseburger in Paradise! The condo is so relaxing and easy to settle in. We love sitting on the deck as the view is incredible and entertaining. We continue to enjoy each and every trip there and experience new and different activities. From all day sailing trips around the island to sitting in Charlotte Amalie Palm Passage outdoor bar to relaxing on Sapphire Beach. Looking forward to our next visit!

We stayed at Sapphire Beach for a long weekend and had an absolutely amazing time! The location was perfect and we found it extremely difficult to leave. The condo was exactly what we were looking for and the description on the website was 100% correct. The Condo was clean, provided towels, snorkel gear, comfortable sleeping arrangements, ect. Mary was extremely accomodating before and throughout our stay at her condo, which made the experience that much easier.
The views are beautiful from the condo and you are located near anything you could possibly want to do (shop, eat, boat, ferry to St. John). I highly recommend staying at this location and hope to come back soon! Thanks again Mary for letting us stay at your Condo!

Beautiful condo, weather, and location!! Perfect Honeymoon trip!!
My wife and I were looking for a place to go on our honeymoon and came across Mary's listing. From the pictures it looked really good but upon arrival it was perfect! There were all the amenities in the unit that it made it feel like home...but with a much better view!!! Right on the beach with quick access to snorkeling to see the reefs (just a few steps into the sea), snorkeling gear that she graciously provides, and a full binder of local places to visit and some of the "short cuts" to make the vacation go smoothly. Though we didn't get to see much of the islands the notes in the binder helped greatly. Red Hook is a great place to grab a drink, a bite to eat, catch either the car or passenger ferries, and quick access to groceries. We recommend Moe's Market right in town to get items for meals as well as their well stocked liquor store. The bottle of wine and card that she and her husband left us was an extra special touch that never expected but was more than we could have asked for and greatly appreciated. The only thing you need to worry about when staying here is relaxing. Leave the worries at home. We want to come back to St. Thomas again to explore more (barely made a dent in all there is to see in 4 days) and when we do we'll definitely be staying at Mary's condo again!!
My husband and I fell in love with the ocean when we moved from Minnesota to Miami upon graduating from University. We now enjoy our life in North Carolina between the mountains and the beach. In the spring of 1999, we purchased our vacation rental condo at the lovely Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina in St. Thomas, USVI. I have since retired from teaching art and my husband has retired to Professor Emeritus status at Duke Medical Center. With increased flexible time, we visit at least one other country a year along with regular US and VI travel. Airbnb is a great avenue for finding accommodations.
