Bonnie is a lovely and gracious hostess! And Casa Arriba, the home she has created is both inspiring and welcoming. My travel friend and I had an incredible experience in Sayulita and had fun getting to know Bonnie and the like-minded travelers who were also staying at Casa Arriba. It was magical! Can't wait to return.

We loved our stay at Casa Arriba. I stayed in Casita Piedra with a friend -- the room is cozy, but it's right next to the communal kitchen and steps away from a porch with a beautiful view of trees and the ocean, so it felt bigger. Wonderfully airy and peaceful. Bonnie was a great host, and we had a great time getting to know the other guests (though if you wanted to keep to yourself, you could probably stay pretty private). As others have noted, the property is up a *very* steep hill from the town and beach. We ended up doing about one trip down and back a day -- if you want to be able to pop in and out between your lodgings and the beach all day long (and you don't have a car), Casa Arriba may not be the best choice, but it was perfect for our relaxed itinerary.

Thank you Nina. Thankfully the majority of our guests are into fitness and book because of the hill. And those who are not trade the downtown late noise and roosters for a short $3 can ride . So nice to have you. Good luck with your new job!

I just returned home after a week of pure relaxation staying at Casa Arriba in Sayulita Mexico. Bonnie was a delightful host. While we shared some time together, with me gaining vastly from her experience as a full time resident, she was mindful of creating a peaceful and tranquil space for me to come and go as I soaked up the positive energy from the beautiful surroundings.

A friend and I stayed in Casa Piedra for a week. From the start, Bonnie was a friendly and helpful host. She showed us places of interest around the town and drew maps to locations further away. The house itself is located on a hill high above town with magnificent views of the sunset. It is a pleasant walk into town but a bit of a work out on the way up. We typically took a short taxi ride back at night (I stayed in town several more nights and much preferred Casa Piedra's location on the hill). The room is clean and comfortable. My friend also had a chance to watch the film Bonnie has put together about the town of Sayulita and very much enjoyed it. Overall, a great experience.

Casa Arriba was the perfect place for us to stay - we had a wonderful week. It's clean, comfortable and beautiful. The views are gorgeous, and Bonnie is a fantastic and laid back host (with lots of excellent stories to share). She'll help you get the feel of what's around and where to go, and keep you informed about what's happening in town. Can't recommend it enough - looking forward to a return trip! Thanks Bonnie - I can't wait to see your next film! Leah

This was an ideal place to stay in Sayulita! Up the hill, above the noise and congestion of town, with a gorgeous view of the town and beach from the house. It is a ten minute walk down to the beach. Bonnie is a great host; an artist with many interests. We thoroughly enjoyed her and the time we spent together. We enjoyed the other guests very much as well. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a nice kitchen too. I would not stay anywhere else in Sayulita!
