We really enjoyed our time at this house. It's reasonably remote, and therefore really quiet. The pool is shared with four other households, but was never crowded. The family across the way is very friendly and shared a bottle of homemade liquor with us. I never met Fay in person (her father met us at the house), and had minimal communication during our stay, since we weren't given info on the wifi ahead of time. Also, breakfast was only provided when we arrived. The cleaning lady, however, was fantastic! It was a wonderful service to have her visit daily to fold laundry, wash dishes and make the beds. She was very sweet and helpful. We had a Greek speaker in our group who communicated with her, so I'm not sure if she speaks English.
One thing I'd like to discuss is the kid-friendly status of this house. The hosts were welcoming, but I'd say it's only kid-friendly for children 5 years and older. We have a 3-year-old, and this house has safety issues for someone so small. First, it's a spiral staircase. We had to be careful to not let him be on the staircase alone. I honestly would not have rented this house had I known about the staircase, which isn't shown in any pictures. Also, the railing for the third floor loft is quite minimal, and there's plenty of space for a child to fall through. Our 3-year-old still rolls out of bed, so he couldn't sleep up there. This meant our two children shared the one bedroom, which of course was the room with the only shower.
Our children (5 and 3) are both good swimmers, and this pool was perfect for both of them. There's a sloping "beach" entrance in one portion that's tiled, so it was easy to communicate that our smaller child needed to stay on the tiles.
In all, we had an overall positive experience. We hope to come back to Greece in a few years, and since our kids will be older, we would be happy to stay here again. It's peaceful, has amazing views, a perfect pool, friendly neighbors, and is near a beach. I would definitely recommend!
