The room has two twin beds with high thread count sheets. I provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and clean, white towels. My goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have a car, please park in the driveway. Menlo Park does not allow cars to be parked on the street overnight, else you may receive a ticket for at least $45.

I will most likely be present during your stay. I'm generally a fairly busy person, so I won't spend much time talking your ear off. But I am more than happy to answer any questions you have about the space, the neighborhood, or the Bay Area in general. My hope is that you have the most pleasant stay possible.
I'm pretty easy-going. I tend to keep a late schedule, so as long you're not playing loud music in the morning, we should be fine!
There is no smoking in the house. Electronic cigarettes are fine, I just ask that you keep it to your room. Everything else, please do it in the backyard.
If I'm home and in my room, I have a pretty simple system:
Open door = feel free to knock, say hi!
Closed door = try again later.
And you can also email/text if you have any questions or need help, whether I'm home or not.
Let's start with a quick bio and then some general background info.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California. At the tender age of 17, I moved to the less temperate climes of Boston, Massachusetts to attend Harvard University where I majored in Computer Science and I minored in Mandarin Chinese and East Asian Studies. (Harvard actually uses different terms than the standard "major" and "minor" because Harvard is weird.) I lived in Beijing, China for a year and then spent a number of years back in Boston, Washington, D.C., and back to San Diego before eventually settling in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I've been for the past 10 years. I've spent most of my career in tech, most recently working at companies like G00GLE, Zynga and Dropbox.
Now, I'm taking a (permanent?) break from tech to explore other avenues in life. I spend a lot (like, really, a lot) of time baking. If your place has the appropriate facilities, I'd be happy to whip up something for you. I can do most anything, really, but specialize in pies, cakes, and cookies. And ice cream (especially gelato!). I love gelato. And food in general, actually.
I have a daily meditation practice and find time to attend retreats a few times a year. Exercise is also very important to me. I don't have any pets of my own, but if you do I would like to apply for the position of best friend to your pet, even if it's the aloof kind that prefers to be admired from a distance. I enjoy meeting all sorts of different types of people. It amazes me how many different kinds of people there are in the world, and the varied and different life experiences each of us has from one another.
My life motto (of the moment): Those of us who have grown in true love know that we can love only in proportion to our capacity for independence.
