Spacious two-story double is part of an historic home on one of New Orleans’ famous tree-lined boulevards, right on the Canal Street/City Park streetcar line. Walking distance to Jazz Fest, Voodoo Fest, New Orleans Museum of Art, Bayou St. John, and City Park, plus restaurants, bars, coffee shops and grocery stores.
You’ll be staying on a beautiful boulevard with oak trees lining the curbs and palm trees –with resident green parrots – on the grassy Neutral Ground (median strip). You’ll have easy access to the French Quarter, Frenchmen Street nightlife, downtown, the Warehouse District, the Convention Center and the Garden District, while experiencing life in Mid-City, one of New Orleans’ most vibrant neighborhoods. Walk to coffee houses. Enjoy a stuffed burger, the city’s best po-boys, or any of a wide variety of ethnic cuisines: French, Italian, Spanish, Latin American, Chinese, Southeast Asian restaurants are all to be found nearby. Check out the Thursday farmer’s market, if you’re here during the week.
The apartment is large (1350 sq. ft) and comfortable, with air conditioning and heat zoned for upstairs and downstairs. Hardwood floors and vintage-look tile throughout. Large, fully equipped kitchen with a full size refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, dishes and pots and pans. Full size washer and dryer; one and a half bathrooms; patio with access to a gas grill is just outside the kitchen door.
This is an active street, and there can be pedestrian and vehicular noise. Off street parking may be available for short term stays.
Rate is standard rate, but we do offer weekly and monthly rates. Please inquire for rates and minimum stays for special events (Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Voodoo Fest, French Quarter Fest, Super Bowl, etc).

There is no daily housekeeping service.
Keys must be returned upon departure; failure to do so will result in a $100 fee to get both locks changed.

Kerry is a troubadour, a writer and performer of contemporary western songs. He plays guitar and mandolin and travels, mostly in the west, for concerts and writing workshops. Carrie works for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, as well as some other events. Carrie and Kerry both speak Spanish.
