Beautiful 1896 Victorian house in area walkable to many cafes and shops on both Hawthorne and Belmont. Guest room is on first floor with bathroom (with toilet and sink down 4 small stairs) and shared upstairs bathroom (shower, toilet, and sink).
The kitchen, dining/living room are also shared spaces but I try to give guests sole access to the first floor. There is no A/C which is usually not an issue in Portland. Please ask. There is wifi but no TV set/monitor.
This is a lovely home on an extremely quiet street with lots of trees that is walkable to many spots on Hawthorne and Belmont. The first floor of the house including the guest room has 10 foot high ceilings and the original moldings. The house's interior has recently been repainted and new wood floors on the first floor. There is also plenty of free street parking.
The guest room is being set up and I will post pictures shortly. It contains a brand new queen mattress, a bookcase/dresser which has space for your items as well as a closet. It also has two large windows that look out to a large tree -- quite peaceful.
Guests will have a private main floor bedroom which has two doors that locks with skeleton key. Guests will be able to use the kitchen and dining room as well. I have coffee and tea on hand. :-)
The small guest bathroom is a couple of steps down from the main floor and contains a toilet and sink. Upstairs is the shared bathroom for showering. The upstairs rooms are private for the host.
I am new to Portland and will help with info as much as possible.
I am in the process of moving so the house is in transition. The guest room, bathroom, and kitchen is set up but you may encounter a box or two upstairs. Additionally, the curtains in the guest room are late to arrive but the room is set back from the street and I feel comfortable in it.
My boyfriend stays with me when he is in town. He tends to work in the office upstairs. We are both quiet and friendly. We are new to Portland and will help you with tourism and spots to eat/drink as much as possible.
Please ask me any questions.
No smoking of any kind, please.
We love pets but they are not allowed.
The guest room can host up to two people and due my mostly at-home work schedule no small children allowed.
I am an Airbnb host and traveler. I travel for art shows and business meetings (meet with companies and non-profits to help them with their digital strategies). I've lived on my own since college. I tend to like to be out and about enjoying a city. I'm a non-smoker, like to leave a place as clean as I found it, and I'm quiet. Oh, and I tend to need good working wifi. :-)
