Perfectly located 5 minutes walk from Maida Vale Station for direct access to all central London has to offer.
First and foremost...there is Heather-Kingsley's mum. A relaxed, friendly and hospitable person who opened up her home to me and was a pleasure to talk to yet gave plenty of space when needed. Then the huge room I stayed in which backs out onto an garden enormous garden so you don't even feel like you're in the city. Plus the area of Maida Vale is great as it's near Little Venice and the canal and easy to get to the tube stop. It was a great way to see London which was hectic and to come back to a quiet and friendly space. Thank you very much Heather and Kingsley!! I hope to stay with you again if I go back to London.
Wow! Our short stay in London was wonderful in large part due to the kindness and hospitality of our hosts Kingsley and Heather. Communication was a breeze throughout our stay. On our arrival Kingsley took time to show us around the apartment and explain the particulars. Heather included us in an amazing art show. The room was large, clean, quite comfortable for the three of us and we had access to a lovely garden right from the room- just as described. Perfect location for exploring London. Just a few minutes walk to the underground. Our only regret is that we couldn't spend more time here. Can't wait to go back again! Thanks
Heather was a very kind host. Convenient part of town with lots of nice cafes and a tube station around the corner. The room is very minimal, and as described, with a nice door into a shared garden. everything was very clean. there were other guests staying there as well at the time. Heather even gave us little shampoo and body wash bottles and a great travel tooth brush, and toothpaste set AND sparkling water. She even got us tickets for an antique show the day of our departure.
Kingsley and Heather's apartment is absolutely beautiful, very clean and in a lovely relaxed part of London, just a short tube ride to the city or Notting Hill. The room is very large (includes a dining table and desk as well as a comfortable bed) and I was provided with lots of storage space. The room opens out onto a beautiful shared garden for the block of apartments, which is lovely on a sunny day. Kingsley and Heather are very welcoming and helpful and provided everything needed in terms of linen, kitchen utensils, wifi and washing facilities. It was a very easy place to base myself from while starting work in London.
Heather is a lovely host. We felt very welcome. The place is very clean and bright, just as it appears in the photos. The apartment is very warm and kitchen well-equipped. The garden at the back of the property is an added bonus. The area is quiet and only a few stops away from Oxford Street using the underground. There's a five minute walk to the maida vale station from the apartment. We definitely recommend this place to stay.
Kingsley and Heather were amazing hosts. I had a truly wonderful time at their place. The room was exactly as described and shown in the photos. It felt like a home away from home. Kingsley also made sure I had some water and snacks. He also made sure that I had a bottlle of organic milk in the fridge. Heather had left me some lavender oil for my pillow - this was such a wonderful touch. I slept like a baby every night during my stay! She even gifted me a bottle of the lavender oil when I left. Kingsley showed me how to go out in the garden where I could have my morning coffee. It is a gorgeous and tranquil open space. There is a grat coffee machine in the kitchen as well as a milk frother, so youcan enjoy a cup of great coffee in the morning. The flat is in Maida Vale, one of London's best neighbouhoods. Safe and quiet, with many wonderful restaurants around. If you like Indo-Chinese cuisine, try Banana Tree in Maida Vale station. The Gourmet Pizza place on Lauderdale Road is also a great place to grab a bite. Maida Vale is within easy reach to the West End - you can either grab the Bakerloo line, short bus ride on No.16 or 98 or just walk. You can also easily walk to the famous Portobello Road Market. In summary I had an amazing time at Kingsley's and Heather's place. I will definitely stay with them again next time I am in London.
