Bed&Be is more than just two lovely little apartments on Cruz Conde street (Córdoba city center) . It functions as a bed & breakfast, complete with a host, bicycles on the ground floor, a roof terrace-solarium on the top floor.
Bed&Be is a lovely place where you can be comfortable, with your own sheets, blankets and towels, freshly cleaned! And a breakfast waiting for you when you wake up.
El Pisito I (“The Little Apartment”)
It is a charming place with 3 bedrooms: 2 twins, and a 4 bed dorm with individual lockers. All rooms have windows overlooking the pedestrian street José Cruz Conde, a major street in Cordoba. There is also a lounge with a big TV, sofas, arm chairs, dinning tables, even a rocking chair. The high ceilings and the many tall windows that are west-facing and look out onto the promenade, make the apartment feel very light and peaceful.
El Pisito II
In the upper floor, north facing (Manuel de Sandobal Street). With similar characteristics, and using the common areas from it (living, kitchen, bathrooms...) it has a twin room, a big share dorm for 8 guests and a bathroom.
The apartments are in a building designed in 1933 by Felix Hernandez that was recently renovated in 2012 to retain its structure and original features, like the hydraulic floor tiles, large windows and high ceilings and solid wood doors. We have also incorporated all the comforts of modern life too like: air conditioning, WIFI, Led TV, and all types of appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, induction kitchen, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster...) in a fully equipped kitchen, and 2 spotless bathrooms.
Curiously, Felix Hernandez is one of the leading restorers of Madinat al-Zahra, the Mosque and he was the architect of the Plaza de las Tendillas, just a few meters away, which is also considered the center of the city.
La Azotea (roof terrace)
Upstairs, there is a roof terrace to see the skyline of Cordoba and to spend time enjoying the cool nights on the couches, or sunbathing during the day. Different events have been organized there (music shows, markets...what would you suggest?
Bed&Be really fine:
On the ground floor, your host will be there to: greet you, introduce you to others, help you out with whatever you need, to meet your expectations and to help you plan how to get the most out of your time in the city . It includes good tapas/wine/beers tours, cultural activities, sports, walkings, all to give you the best impression of this lovely city. Whatever you want ask him!
You will also have a calling mechanism in the door that works via mobile phone (24h) so you can tell your host of any problems when he is not there in person.
Bikes from the city center
Downstairs there is a small Patio (courtyard) typical in Córdoba, where the travelers can rent very nice bikes for a reduced price for hours or days. Bike guided city tours are also availables.
Cordoba is a good city for cycling. Is known as "The flat" because the whole town is practically flat and is full of bicycle lanes and no-car streets. Bicycle riding cheap, safe and lots of fun. The bike rides around the small streets of the Judería and along the banks of the Guadalquivir river, for example, are magic! However, the houses and cottages of the city extend into the mountains, so you can also find more demanding routes up into the sierra (mountains).
Bed&Be, moreover, is in the heart of Cordoba, just few meters from the Plaza de las Tendillas, the boulevard of the Gran Capitán, the City Hall, 5 minutes by bike from the Mosque, the Jewish district, the Alcazar, and the Roman bridge (10´ walking), and 5 minutes also from the central train and bus stations (10´ walking).
