This villa is absolutely amazing! The profile does not really do it justice. The spaces are comfortable and well planned, especially the pool and 2 covered outdoor spaces that takes full advantage of the magnificent view. The villa and its surrounding landscapes are also well maintained with a housekeeper coming in daily to clean and a team of landscapers working full time.
The villa is situated in a compound with a handful of other accommodations, and at the time of stay, there is some construction work going on in the area. However, please don't let this deter you as it was peaceful and quiet the entire time we were there. We were never disturbed by the neighbours or the work being done. Quiet as it is, we were never too far away from food as there are restaurants and a small convenience store within walking distance. We had meals in a fair few of them and really enjoyed the food except for the meal we had in Cape Kudu. The restaurant in this fancy resort had great ambience but the food was expensive and disappointing.
If you are after a place that is bustling with activity, Koh Yao Noi is not the place to be. I suggest Phuket or Krabi for a more lively travel experience. Koh Yao Noi is peaceful and idyllic, we never had to lock anything the entire time we were there. While it is not entirely free of tourists, it strikes a good balance of amenities and rural tranquility. Best of all, it is a breeze to get to! You can either have it all arranged for you as the host provides several options or get there on your own like we did.
Having said all that, this trip wouldn't be anywhere close to being as awesome if it wasn't for our concierge, Mhee. There is a reason why every review mentions her, she is fully deserving of all the praise! She is amiable, patient and truly caring, an example to us all as she provided with what we asked for and more, anticipating what's required.
Mhee answered all our questions, made recommendations and all the arrangements. There was no task too big or too small, every request we had in this trip, she fulfilled. Of those, my top recommendations would be getting the Thai breakfast instead of the continental (no extra charge!), a message session, an island hopping boat trip (an absolute must!) and getting a chef to cook in the villa. We really can't thank her enough and was so impressed that we left her a generous tip.
This was truly a dream vacation. Not only are we planning to go back, we are recommending it all our family and friends.
