The good parts first. For a family of 5, it was a spacious apartment. As it is a lived-in house, it was well stocked and had all what was required for our stay. Alex was v accommodating, allowing us to drop our luggage before the check-in time and his communication was prompt & helpful. The Netflix & X-box was a nice touch, especially with young kids. A few points to note. The location is not that great. It is not as close to Oxford as I expected (almost 9miles). The apartment location is not that great and if you re used to living in city centres hotels, this was a let-down. There is absolutely nothing to do around the apartment and the closest town Abingdon, is about 2miles away. The house furniture is tired & dated. For the rates I paid, I probably would have had preferred booking 2 rooms in the local Premier Inn.
This flat is spacious and across two levels which was ideal for our stay. Alex was a great host who responded quickly to messages and gave clear instructions on the location of the flat. It was generally tidy but maybe in need of TLC in some areas but it didn't affect our stay at all. There is a Tesco literally around the corner too and it's only a short distance into Abingdon.
The apartment was easy to find with plenty of parking (there were five of us coming from different locations and had no trouble finding somewhere to park), and in a great location for our needs. Clean and tidy with plenty of space. Alex was very responsive and quick to communicate, and very helpful both before the trip and after, when something was left behind and had to be picked up after we had left.
