We are moving to an even bigger apartment up the street so we are renting our sunny 2 bed-room, sea-view apt. in historic Yafo for 4-6 weeks. Centrally located, the apt is a short walk from the flea market, port, beach, and many other attractions. We will leave all appliances, furniture, and some dishes and cookware, but we'll take away most personal items before your arrival. That being said, we have 2 dogs and 2 cats, so there may be cat/dog hair left behind.
Rooms: 2 bedrooms with closets and full-size beds. Living room with sofa that pulls out into an additional bed. Bathroom with shower, tub, and washer and dryer. Kitchen with gas stove, electric convection oven, and bar that seats 4. Other: Central air, safe room (one of the bedrooms), close to transportation and tourist spots - including Shuk Hapishpishim, Yaffo Port, and Ajami Beach
I rented an apartment a 10 minute walk from this apartment so will stay there unless you need me to come by or you want me to stay here for company.
Since we are in a mixed neighborhood, it does not completely shut down on Shabbat. You'll find plenty to eat and buy.
We prefer quiet people, but we'll be at our other apartment with our animals so you're free to have small get-togethers, just be respectful of the neighbors and keep in mind the owner lives in the building.
We are a laid-back set of vegetarian/vegan twins from the U.S. and we now reside in Israel. We are minimalists, so don't expect a TV. But we have all the books you could ask for in our house from many genres from spirituality to psychology to the arts. The dogs have free reign of the house and sofa, but will be gone while you are here; we'll try to vacuum well.
We are petite and liberal so we're guessing Derek's reference was a joke. We've also hosted several others while in San Francisco, but created a new profile in Israel.
