Love being on a quiet street? Love meeting your hosts? Looking at WSU? Coming to photograph the Palouse? Let our house be your house.
We live in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks away from Washington State University. The bedroom is bright and very airy, It has queen sized bed, student desk and chair. Wi Fi is available. We have also added a small refrigerator and microwave to the room. There is a shared bathroom, though we avoid using it when the bedroom is rented (our main bathroom is downstairs). We have laundry facilities available downstairs. Public transportation is nearby. Our house is nonsmoking, and we do have a dog and a cat that are very friendly. Sunnyside Park is three blocks away which has a couple of nice walking trails. Coming for a weekend or needing a place for an extended stay, check us out.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen, our deck and outside areas. Also, they can use the laundry facilities in the basement.
Our house is easily accessible for people who have mobility limitations. The front door has a concrete ramp and everything for the guest(s) is on the first level--with the exception of laundry facilities.
We enjoy interacting with guests. We love meeting new people and sharing what we know of the local area. We particularly enjoy guests from other countries. We have had people from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, New Zealand, Oman, Peru, and Spain as well as many places in the United States. We strive for diversity. It is great to get to know more about their countries as we share our part of our country!
Some people are looking for extended stay because of their pet being in WSU Veterinary Hospital or because of personal health services in the area. We make every effort to be as accommodating as possible for these special needs.
Other guests come for the photogenic nature of the Palouse. We can make suggestions of some of our favorite areas.
I am a retired mental health counselor. My wife works at Washington State University as a Library Tech. We have lived in Pullman for over twenty years. We enjoy having people stay with us. We have met people from around the world through Airbnb. When we travel we usually stay in the Pacific Northwest.
