A private room in an 1860s home with all the modern conveniences. Five minutes from Dayton International Airport and with two restaurants within walking distance. Upstairs room. We do Have a dog that will be kept separate. Downstairs private bathroom.
The room is an upstairs guest room in a beautiful brick home right on main street. The bedroom has an antique dresser and bench along with a four poster bed and a futon for additional sleeping room for one. Central heat and air. The house sits close to the road which has moderate road noise during the day. The mattress is a queen select comfort bed. The bathroom is downstairs.
You will have access to the bedroom and a private bath located downstairs from the room. You can also make use of the living room and dining room. The kitchen is not available for use. We are happy to store perishables in the fridge for you. Coffee, tea and microwave are in the dining room 24 hours a day. You will have your own separate entrance. The common areas are rarely used by our family so you will have plenty of privacy if desired.
We are available for help and information as you need. We both work full time but will be available by phone or text during the day and available at home in the evenings. We do enjoy getting to know our guests when we have the opportunity.
We are located just minutes from Dayton International Airport.
There is a nature reserve with ponds and trails within easy walking distance. At Englewood Metro Park visitors can fish, bird-watch & picnic in 1,900 acres of forests & wetlands with 3 waterfalls.
There are two restaurants and two convenience stores within two blocks of the house.
Downtown Dayton is just a 15 minute drive away.
We are 1.5 miles from the Stillwater River Trail which is Trail 7 on Mi(URL HIDDEN) Dayton area Bike trails.
The Stillwater river runs behind the house within walking distance. Kayak and canoe trips on the river are available for booking in the summer and fall seasons.
The patio and grill are available for use as long as you keep the gate in the patio closed at all times.
There are many fast food options, Starbucks, Walmart, Meijers, two grocery stores, Local German Baptist Butcher shop and bakery, and many other wonderful local and chain restaurants within 5 miles.
We do not allow smoking or pets. We enjoy meeting and speaking with our guests. We trust that you will respect our home and property as we open our doors to you as our guest. Our home is not child proofed so please consider a more suitable location if you are traveling with small children.
Marc and Emily have been married for over 15 years and host together. Marc works at Kodak as worldwide samples lead in Dayton Ohio. He enjoys Photograpy, hiking, backpacking, Kayaking, and other adventures. Emily trains event horses for a living and in addition to her private practice of teaching training and riding she is Eventing Team Coach and main riding instructor for Otterbein University. She enjoys travel and adventure and meeting new people. Marc and Emily have 2 Irish Jack Russles Kira and Rowan. Both love people and are well behaved.
