This is a "placeholder" listing that allows "Brooklyn & Breakfast" hosts to assist guests with special needs or whose itineraries require multi-room reservations. Relevant details of each individual offer to be contained within it.
Homemade breakfast is included if you'd like, and vegetarian, vegan, low-carb, gluten-free, low-fat and other diets, can be accommodated with a little bit of notice. The kitchen is also available for your personal use.
You may make use of the home theater in the evenings, though please use headphones (Len can provide) if others are working or sleeping.
A 60-key Yamaha electric keyboard is also available, but again, please use headphones.
There's also a room we call "exercise room/office" which exits to the back yard. Both are typically available from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. The office has a fax, high speed color laser printer, FedEx envelopes, etc. If you forget a charger, adapter, envelope, or even your Apple TV, Len can likely lend you one.
For exercise there’s a new Schwinn stationary bike, as well as mats and some other yoga/workout stuff.
If you forget a razor or toothbrush ask before you go buy one; Len travels frequently and collects lots of airline and hotel freebies.
The building is bicycle friendly and you can often borrow one of our extra bicycles, but please check in advance.
Len is your primary host. He's owned the building since 2001, and lived the neighborhood since 1991!
Please let us know if there's anything we can do to improve your experience, and the experience of future guests.
Street parking in this neighborhood is very difficult. We can direct you to some nearby garages where you can store your car for a fee.
You're sharing a common-area space we don't usually offer, so please be extra considerate of the other guests who are showing kindness by welcoming you on short notice.
As always, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CIGARETTE SMOKING in the apartment. You are welcome to smoke in the backyard in summer, or on the stoop, like an authentic Brooklynite, year 'round, as long as you don't leave cigarette butts.
Hi, I'm Tania! I'm a freelance writer and editor, currently living in Brooklyn, in a brownstone owned by my cousin Len. Len and I both use AirBnB to rent the extra space in our apartments; he lives in a 3bd on the first floor, and I live in a large 2bd on the second. I'm a native Manhattanite and he's lived in the City for about three decades (and about half that time in this building), so we both know the city extremely well and love to make travelers feel welcome and at home. Between the two separate apartments we offer three bedrooms in total, so I'm sure you can finds something that suits your needs!
I also love to travel, and am trying to do more of it these days! I can assure you that I will be an extremely responsible guest -- as a host I know how important it is to take great care of your home, and be respectful as a visitor in someone else's. I'd love a host who can provide information on local amenities (pharmacy, groceries, places to eat, etc.) but am fine fending for myself as well.
I look forward to speaking with you!
