Clarisse's apartment was an exceptional location for our first visit to France. The location is extremely convenient to several lines of the metro (get a Navigo for unlimited week use of metro, train and bus), and we enjoyed often just walking out towards Bastille, other neighboring restaurants, the Picasso museum, and a fun little park to relax in Place des Vosges. The apartment itself is very nicely decorated and comfortable, sooo much better than any hotel. We laughed at the small elevator, but on long days exploring the city it was a welcome lift to the 5th floor for tired feet. Clarisse is an excellent host, and she made it extremely easy on check in, giving us a room by room tour and a large list of information for the area, and was always available if we needed anything. The only thing about the apartment we didn't like was how noisy the street was at all hours of the night (do the Police really need to use their sirens all the time?). Closing the windows blocked out most of the sounds, but reduced the airflow. Since the weather was pleasant while we were there, it was not a problem for us, but I could see on hot summer nights it might get a little warm with windows shut. Overall we loved the place and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paris. Thanks Clarisse!
