Chalet des Lacs is a fantastic wood and stone chalet with a real alpine feel, sleeping 12 in 5 bedrooms. Its open fire, sauna, spacious lounge/dining area and great location combine to make it a perfect chalet for families or large groups.

You will find a large garden around the house with a raised terrace in front of the dining area offering great views and a fantastic spot for après drinks and a BBQ. There is parking for 2/3 cars around the chalet.

The chalet has a traditional wood and tile interior that offers a wonderful warm atmosphere.

The ground floor has a sauna, shower and WC, garage with ski and boot storage plus washing machine and dryer. There is also a small self-contained studio that is let separately.

First floor has a large modern kitchen with oven, microwave, electric cook top, dishwasher, marble worktable and ample storage. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen and dining/lounge area, which has stunning views at one end and an open fire at the other plus TV, DVD, UK Sat and stereo. There is also a bathroom with shower, WC and heated towel rack.

2nd Floor, coming up the stairs from the lounge area you will find 2 bathrooms one with bath, WC, basin and the other with shower, WC & basin there is a double/twin room opposite. There is a bunkroom and another twin/double room on this floor. The main double room is at the front with large balcony overlooking the Chamonix massif.
Up the spiral stairs to the loft room which has a double and single bed. It also has a fold out camp be for an extra person. The loft/bedroom is a reasonably large area which can be used as a bedroom for adults or children or even as a play room for groups with lots of children (caution on spiral staircase).

We are based in Chamonix year round and have been for 15 years; we are able to arrange transfers, ski passes, ski school and many other extras to help make your holiday unforgettable.


We live in Chamonix and will meet you on arrival to help you get settled in and answer any questions. To make your holiday run smoother we are able to get you lift passes, arrange activities, mountain guides and ski school (all at no extra charge) We are here to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.


This property has a 7 night minimum stay, usually Saturday to Saturday. If you wish to have a flexible stay - weekend, midweek, over 7 nights or spilt weeks - then please contact us and if the dates are available we will send you a quote.

Normal check out is 10am and check in is 5pm however we are flexible on this as long as we can accommodate your request. Contact us to confirm.

We meet our guests upon arrival and take them to the property they have rented from us so we can go over everything with them but the following is a bit of useful information before you book.

Normal check out is 10am and check in is between 5pm & 8pm. We try to be as flexible as possible on this so we request that you supply us with travel details so we can do our best to prepare the property for your planned arrival time.

Our rentals include:

o The property
o Linen with beds made on arrival
o Towels
o All local taxes
o Our pre arrival booking service
o Our in resort rep service.

We take a damage deposit upon arrival of 1500 Euros via credit card. It is a pre-approval system so no funds are actually put on your card.

Please Note:
Arrival after 8pm will incur a 20 Euros charge
Arrivals after 11pm will incur a 50 Euro charge.
Arrivals after midnight can't be guaranteed without prior notice.
These charges are to be paid upon arrival in resort.

Throughout peak season we have a 7 night minimum stay and may also have fixed changeover-days. Please contact with your request and we will endeavour to find a solution to your travel dates!

We didn't expect the house to be as great as it was. The view of Mont Blanc is amazing. Sitting on the patio is great in the afternoons. The interior has a great layout for being around people and socializing, which seems to be rare for many houses. The bedrooms are all upstairs, which was easy. And there are plenty of bathrooms for a lot of people. We'd 100% stay again here.

Glenn made our stay in Chamonix a memorable experience! The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable, even for 10 adults. The location is right across the street from 2 bus lines and a train station, so getting anywhere in the valley was super easy. The kitchen was HUGE, and had all the cooking equipment you could ask for! Glenn was available during our entire stay to answer questions and provide anything else we needed. I would stay at Glenn's chalet again.

We had a fantastic time in Chamonix the week after New Year’s. The house was spacious and comfortable and plenty big for our group of 10. There’s a bus stop is right across from the chalet but we even walked into town one day (~20 minutes). Glenn and Tim were very helpful and responsive throughout our weeklong stay, and the off-piste lessons Glenn provided for our group were fun and very informative.

Quick response and immediate help when required. Glenn was a reliable host. The location has a stunning view and the kitchen space is fantastic next to the living room and terrace!

The chalet was easy to find and well situated with two bus stops and a train station literally across the road. The chalet was very peaceful despite being close to the road. A small super market and a bakery is within walking distance of the chalet. Ideal for fresh croissants and baguettes in the morning. The chalet itself was well equipped with everything you need. Both in the kitchen and in the rest of the chalet. The garage is ideal for storing skis and drying your kit over night, meaning you don't need to go with wet or snowy gear into the chalet itself. Ample showers and toilets meant you didn't have to queue for ages in the morning after getting up or after coming down from the hills, even with a big group like ours. Glenn was friendly and informative and explained about the transport options and where to ski on arrival. Checking in and out was easy. If we needed anything Glenn was only a phone call away.

Was een hele hartelijke ontvangst van Simone zij wist ons alles te vertellen over de omgeving en andere dingen die voor ons belangrijk waren. Het huis ligt heel mooi prachtig uitzicht op de bergen, skibus stopt voor de deur en ook bij de trein ben je zo. Supermarkt en goede bakker op loopafstand. Bijna naast het huis is een klein restaurant waar je goed kan eten met vriendelijke eigenaars.

I have been living in Chamonix for 17 years and love it! Great place to live and bring up a family.
