Stay on Main street in house in a house built in 1899 and recently renovated. Your room has a queen bed in an shotgun style house with a private entrance in back. It's walking distance to the Lexington Convention Center, Rupp Arena, Jefferson Street entertainment district near several restaurants and bars.
This "Shotgun Cottage" was built in 1899 and completely renovated in 2008 to have some of the most energy efficient appliances and lighting. It has an on demand water heater (never out of hot water), washer/dryer, with simple furnishings. Currently, my housemate stays in this room so it will have clothes in the closet and dresser. The front and upstairs room may also be rented out also as I'm traveling often during the Rolex games.
A few blocks away is the booming Jefferson Street district, quickly becoming a hot spot in Lexington for quaint restaurants, new craft brews, good music, and art.
You will have your own room with private entrance in the back room addition. The parking is free city parking, typically there's typically a spot in front of the house.
You have a queen bed with cathedral ceiling and a window to the back yard. This house has two other bedrooms which may be rented out to other airbnb guests. The kitchen will be shared by all as well as the lower bathroom. You are on a busy route, so there will be city sounds if you're not used to hearing active downtown life.
Help yourself to coffee and tea in the kitchen. In the pantry are two share shelves of food items.
The house also has a common area with another 42" TV with DVD player and Netflix, a kitchen, a large travertine and glass shower, Wifi, and a bricked back yard.
This is a smoke free, pet free household. Minimum two night stay.
I can interact as little or as much as you please depending on your requirements. If I'm traveling, which is very often, I'm typically available through e-mail or phone and also Christine will be available for urgent matters.
Also available are local maps, information on local points of interest and other goodies. Enjoy your stay!
The house is on Main Street, the major artery of the city in Western Historic Suburbs, the oldest neighborhood in Lexington. The neighborhood is a mix of activity with many houses renovating to their historic standards, new restaurants seem to establish on Jefferson Street (a few city blocks away) monthly. Since the house is on a main street, you get to see activities of small city life; one of my favorite activities is to sit on the front porch with my favorite beverage and watch life happen at the end of the day!
The airport is less than 6 miles (11 minutes) away and about a $25 base taxi ride. Uber is in Lexington as an option too.
The house is located less than a mile from the Lextran hub and the bus lines run near the house. The house is about 8 miles from the Kentucky Horse Park.
I will give you a code to enter the SIDE door when you make the reservation, so come and go as you please with no worry of keys. After that, you're welcome to use the back door. But please remember to return the key when leaving.
I can interact as much or as little as you wish. I'm often traveling, but available by phone.

I love to volunteer, travel, and play in a local, community marching band called March Madness Marching band. I also like to drink good beer and run (more like waddle). Not having my full-time engineering job anymore, I thought this was a good way to make some extra dough while playing the fantastic position of local host of a cute Bluegrass Trust House.
