We are close to all the towns and attractions, yet private and quiet county setting with big Oaks and easy access with lots of vehicle and RV parking. Easy circular driveway for horse trailer or other.
I am a "Live In" Host (Shared common areas) Guests can use the guest rooms and private bathroom, TV sitting and dining room via separate back slider entrance with plenty of parking. Lawn and picnic tables and views of the pasture and horses.
For multiple night stays there's space for food preparation (shared and available)
Horse and dog friendly property.
Friendly and Clean Pets are welcome, but be aware - there are 2-3 dogs around this property and two cats. To greet guests I crate or kennel my dogs, and ask guests to "Honk" when you get to the gate, please.
The room is an economical place to stay while you visit or recreate in southern Oregon's abundant great outdoors. We work and don't plan to entertain guest. Often we just check you in, then head off to ride our horses or train dogs or go to work. There are brochures for local things to see and do ie; Crater Lake, The Historic Flour Mill down by Eagle Point Covered Bridge, Golf courses, Skiing Mt. Ashland, Del Rio Winery, Dancin Winery, Two Hawks (just a few mentioned of many!) and tasting tours, bike and hiking trails, etc.
I own a German Shepherd (members of USA German Shepherd Club of America) and cattle dog. The deer and wild turkeys occasionally cause the dogs to bark at night. We have 11 free range hens pecking around the lawn and pasture, a cat and 2 horses. Kids have fun in the yard and enjoy giving the horses apples and carrots.
The idea is to have an affordable place for guests to stay when visiting Southern Oregon. We appreciate independent guests. No smoking in the house please. All aspects of pets staying are open to discussion and pet fee.
