Martin and Britta welcome you to a very special artists' retreat. We live on the edge of the Waitakere National Park in West Auckland, three minutes walk from a quiet beach. We are surrounded by stunning native bush and have a large mature garden.
Martin and Britta are very kind and thoughtful hosts who live in a beautifully furnished and welcoming home in Titirangi with a view out onto the bush. The house is fairly large and there is well tended garden. The local beaches are perfect for walks around the peninsula and beach combing and the dramatic western coast Waikatere beaches are just 45 mins drive away. Their two cats are adorable. My little boy and I had the most fantastic stay. Martin and Britta went above and beyond the call of duty to make us feel welcome and part of the family, sharing their meals with us and taking us for an unforgettable trip to a local beach. We were sad to leave. This has been my most memorable and best Airbnb experience.
I can call this stay my best airbnb experience. Breakfast was luxury, I felt myself like home, moreover hosts are the most interesting people I ever met through airbnb! House and garden are just so loved and tastefully designed, and you can meet and cuddle a little cats pride :) I would def-my recommend this listing, tho I wish it was only me who know about it :D
Martin and Britta are wonderful hosts, very generous with their time, all the instructions were clear and helpful. The neighbourhood is delightful and Martin and Britta shared their personal recommendations which were all spot on- from walks to cafes, markets and art exhibitions. The house is comfortable and relaxing with 2 cute cats who are very well behaved. The home cooked breakfast is great with homemade goodies. We can recommend the option of dinner with the hosts as we enjoyed a delicious meal and engaging conversation. We would definitely recommend this Air BNB for anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful place with great hosts.
We had an excellent stay with Martin and Britta. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, shared a meal and their home brew with us, and provided many good tips on the area. Their home is really beautiful, tastefully decorated, and in a great location for visiting the parkland. It is within a stones throw of a private cove and overlooks gorgeous bush scenery. You will need a car if you want to visit this area. Taking day trips is essential to enjoy the coastline. There are good restaurants in the village. Also, a nice wine shop. If you love cats, they have two really gorgeous kitties who like to get chin rubs. The breakfast was excellent every morning. We would return if ever we are in the area again.
