Attic room in a house with great views in a 4-storey Victorian semi. Trendy Gloucester Road with great independent shops and cafes nearby and central Bristol only 15 minutes walk away. Bus stop and Montpelier train station very near. Bikes welcome. Varied continental breakfast choice.
This is a bright, well-insulated and warm attic room with a double bed. It has sloping eaves so be prepared to lower your head! The bathroom and toilet are one floor down and you have priority use. We can use a basement bathroom. You'll be given a tasty and varied continental breakfast. This will be served in the kitchen. You are free to make tea and coffee anytime and eat your takeaways. We use our kitchen in the evenings so we prefer you to eat in one of the many wonderful and diverse eating places just a short walk away. When it is warm you are welcome to use the garden which is lovely and sunny. Near to trendy and lively Gloucester Road and Stokes Croft. We even have a Banksy original on this road (very small!)
Lovely sunny south facing garden with hammock and tables and benches for quiet time out.
Bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and garden. Garage for bikes. Street parking only.
The hosts are a couple with grown up children. The attic floor is private but the bathroom is on floor below. The toilet is separate from the bathroom on the same floor as the bathroom (ie the floor below the bedroom)
On top of a hill with spectacular views. I have a host of tourist maps and advice to give any visitors to Bristol and lots of tips of where best to eat.
As it is our home we ask for respect for each other in terms of noise. Also the house is smoke-free.
I am semi-retired but I still do a few days work in public health. I have a husband and 2 grown up daughters and have just become a granny for the first time. I spent my childhood in Wales but have lived in the great city of Bristol UK for 40 years. I love to travel and spent 3 years in Latin America working for health programmes. I am a cyclist and try to keep fit.
I work from home and I love tea and chats. I am a bit of a hoarder for all sorts of things. I have visited Australia many times to see my brother. Last year I made it to Tasmania which was wonderful and went to Sydney for the second time. I speak Spanish and can get by in French and a bit of Portuguese.
