Take a walk back in time! Cozy, cute, rustic, extremely remote, private three bedroom one and half bath 1970 ranch house located just over a mile from the beach in a tiny neighborhood of less than 30 homes in the middle of a wildlife refuge. Glorified camping! Close to Boca Chica beach but far, far away from town and South Padre Island.
Well behaved, house trained dogs are welcome. There will be an additional cleaning charge, so please let me know about your pets before you book. Thank you!
Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
Dogs are welcome, but there is an additional cleaning fee depending on the number and type.
I was born in Brownsville and it is a great place. However I have managed to spend most of my life living in other parts of the state, country and the world. I love to travel! My early life was spent in Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. My adult life has been spent mostly in Austin, TX, but I spent an entire decade in Portland, Oregon in the gorgeous Pacific NW. What a fascinating part of the world.
I enjoy doing yoga and I love to read and write. I collect art, none of it particularly valuable, just whatever catches my eye. I dabble in photography and enjoy listening to all kinds of music. On a Beatles kick lately and just saw the Martin Scorsese documentary on George Harrison, "Living In The Material World." (I highly recommend it.)
I also rescue animals. My amazing female companion dog found me near downtown Brownsville right after my Grandmother's funeral several years ago.
Places I'd love to visit in no particular order: Turkey, Cuba, Portugal, Spain, Puerto Rico, any part of Africa, the Czech Republic and Northern Japan.
