We have just completely renovated the entrance to the suite, added a full bathroom with spa like shower and made it more beautiful. The space downstairs is modern, airy with new windows as well. You would be staying in a hundred twenty year old Victorian Home with all the original woodwork and modern charm and conveniences, while being in a lovely, quiet neighbourhood.
The room downstairs, is private, bright, spacious and charming. You have a private entrance and internet wireless access, and apple tv, and a small fridge.
Breakfast can be either provided downstairs or eat upstairs (outisde on the deck in summer). Our breakfast includes a great cappuccino or Bodum with french toast or pancakes with fresh fruit or Montreal's famous bagels with cream cheese and homemade jam.
A warm welcome, comfort, ease, space and a delicious breakfast await you. Having lived overseas for ten years in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Malaysia, I know about travelling and the comforts appreciated.
The metro is close by with a direct link to downtown.
There are number of excellent restaurants ranging from Greek, Italian, Vietnamese, French, Starbucks, Davids Tea and a wide range of small coffee shops with internet access. The walk along Sherbrooke Street is vibrant, easy and there are lots of shops.
While guests do not have access to the rest of the house, they is a mini fridge and microwave downstairs. This is to accommodate guests who want to stay longer and be able to heat up food and have a something simple. Guests have access to our deck outside - which is lovely.
We make ourselves available to our guests and enjoy sharing recommendations about the city and in particular, the area we live in. We always check in with our guests and see what they need or want. Some guests want interaction with us while others prefer to be independent.
I am a world traveller who has lived in several different countries over the years. I am an enthusiastic hiker, love travelling by bicycle to see the landscapes and views and am an avid photographer. Teacher, trainer and international educational consultant is what I do in my career. Hosting is another way of travelling, people come to Montreal from many parts of the world.
