The Bavarian city of Regensburg is undoubtedly one of history's wonders and one of the "must see" places in Germany.
It is the only Gothic big city in Germany to have retained its medieval face with hardly a blemish. In the 19th century Regensburg was not subject to the rapid industrialization that took place all over Europe. Thus the impressive traces of its development from a Roman fort to a prosperous trade and diocesan town, to a proud royal seat were preserved in rare harmony.
However, Regensburg does not only live from its reputation based on almost 2000 years of history. The prominent royal house of Thurn and Taxis is known for the founding of the modern postal system in Europe. Moreover the castle of Thurn & Taxis is the largest in whole Europe.

I'm always happy to share travel experiences and learn sth new about our beautiful crazy planet. I'm a very active person. Swimming, running, skiing, hiking and my favorite - surfing! I grew up in Regensburg and know the ins and outs of the city and the surrounding areas. So I'm happy to help you with any questions you might have!
For about 6 years my family runs the Domizil Regensburg.
