My friends and I booked this listing to stay for 5 nights and was utterly disappointed right before we stepped into the house. To start off, there are no elevators in this building, so it probably would be more suitable for backpackers as compared to someone on holiday. Good luck getting up the stairs if you have a big and heavy luggage. It took us quite a while since the stairways were very cramped too. Upon arrival, we noticed that the rooms are really small, not the size you'd imagine after looking at pictures. Also, there are not a lot of floor space at all, so we'd have to take turns unpacking our luggage. The pillows provided are also really obviously worn out. They were flat, soft, and had a weird stench to it (Blankets too). Beds were not comfortable too. I slept at the top of the bunk bed, and am able to feel the metal structures beneath me. It also made a lot of noise with a bit of movement. My friends woke up the next morning with rashes, pimples and unbearable itchiness myself.
The bathroom in the house is really small and shared with a few other people in the house (Around 4 or 5?) so it takes really long to wait for everyone to wash up in the morning, delaying our day plans. What's worse is that the floors, basin and bathtub in the wash room is wet and filled with hair all over which is absolutely disgusting.
The location however, is as described to be near Strathfield station, but if you're travelling as a group of girls or alone, do be careful as the roads back home get really dark at night, and the stairs do not have lights to shine your way.
There are much better accommodations at central such as YHA, which we stayed at after leaving the Sydney Nut House, at similar prices to this, and also much safer and convenient, just have to do your research.
