I was born and bred in the district so have extensive knowledge of the many tourist attractions in the area. For the last 4 yours I have been a tour guide for visiting coaches and would be happy to provide a guiding service. Ask me about my fees.
Adaminaby was the first town to be established as part of the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme. It is situated 7 kms from Lake Eucembene which is famous for all year round trout fishing. Rivers in the surrounding area are open for fishing from October long weekend to June long weekend. We are the closest town providing accomodation to Selwyn Snowfields in the winter months. It is also a great base for anyone wanting to see the mountains, rivers, lakes, Yarrangobilly Caves (and have a swim in the thermal pool), old Kiandra goldmines, 4x4 driving, brumby watching and the different flora and fauna of the snowies.
The home is pet friendly for small dogs. Smoking is permitted outside. Guests are expected to keep the property clean and tidy at all times.
Now a semi-retiree I have more time to do the things I love. One of the most rewarding has been having time to travel around my own district discovering the absolute beauty of the mountains and all it has to offer. Living so close to Lake Eucembene and the Murrumbidgee River the trout fishing bug is well and truly embeded in my blood. I also enjoy travelling to different parts of Australia and intend to continue as time allows. I also have a great appreciation of my home and love having guests that I can provide a warm comfortable home atmosphere while they are holidaying in the area. There is nothing nicer that sitting around a dining room table of warm log fire at the end of the day sharing experiences with wonderful people.
