This private studio is ideal for a single person or a couple for cheap weekly rental (daily rentals accepted, 2-night min).
This studio is fully furnished, and includes a small kitchenette for light cooking, and its own bathroom with shower & toilet.
The queen size bed sleeps two and a roll-away bed can accommodate a third guest (third-guest fee applies in this case).
NOTE: The second bed is a roll-away twin-size bed available at an extra cost of $10/night (if you make a reservation for 3 or more people, the room rate automatically includes the extra roll-away charge)
The studio also includes a small office with computer for your use.
This studio is in a home (duplex) on the end of a quiet cul de sac, only a few minutes walk to a bus stop, or a five minute drive to the nearest grocery store. Ten minutes to nearest Walmart, organic grocery stores, as well as popular restaurants such as Noodles & Company, Chili's, and historic downtown Lafayette.
The private bathroom and kitchenette make this space perfect not only for short weekend stays, but also extended stays.
Access to the Studio is via house front-door and indoor staircase, separate from all other rooms in the house for your privacy.
Rent includes one off-street parking spot right next to the house.
Access is through the front door and a stair case to the studio on the second floor. Except for the staircase, you will not be sharing any spaces with your host, giving you complete privacy to come and go as you please without intrusion.
Your host (me) lives downstairs in a closed off area inaccessible to guests, The best way to reach me (day or night 24x7), is via SMS text messages to my mobile phone, which I carry with me at all times.

My desire is for you to not only enjoy your stay in the studio, but also to make your stay in the Boulder/Lafayette area a memorable one. Please don't hesitate to ask for what you need, whether it is extra towels, directions, or recommendations or solutions to any travel issues you may have.
I do have a medium size dog, but the room itself has been kept pet-free, specifically to accommodate guests who are allergic to animals.
If you need to do laundry during your stay, you can do so at a coin-operated laundromat less than 5 minute drive east from the house.
I am multi-lingual and speak English and Dutch fluently (Dutch native), and French a little less than fluently.
On check-in, for positive identification you will need to show your valid US driver's license with photo or your valid passport with photo (each guest).
SPECIAL RULES FOR EXTENDED STAYS (WEEK OR LONGER)
For extended stays (week or longer) you will be responsible for cleaning the room on checkout (vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies provided in cleaning closet right outside of the studio) as well as sign a rental agreement on check-in. Upon request, The rental agreement can be emailed to you in PDF form for your review before you book a reservation.
A $200 refundable deposit is required on check-in for extended stays (week or longer)\, payable by credit card or check drawn on a US bank.
NOISE & MUSIC
House rules include no loud music or other noisy activities between 11pm and 9am.
INTERNET ACCESS AND BANDWIDTH RULES
Internet access (available in the Studio via Wifi or ethernet cable) has download speeds of around 12+ Mbps in the Studio via Ethernet connection and 5+ Mbps upload speeds. I can't guarantee this of course, that's up to the Comcast cable company. Your mileage may vary.
Video streaming will work fine, but I request you not do so during the day as I use the internet for work. Similarly, any high bandwidth activities as well as any illegal activities are prohibited through the internet access provided.
Because I want the Studio to accommodate guests who are allergic to pets, no pets are allowed. I do have a dog, but he has not been allowed to go into the Studio.
NO SMOKING OR FLAMES
** Non-smokers preferred. **
There is no smoking of any kind inside the house or within 30 yards of the house outside (this includes e-cigarettes and vaporizers, cigars, tobacco and marijuana).
Because of fire danger and insurance requirements, no flame of any kind is allowed in the Studio. This includes no lighting of candles, no burning of incense, no cooking on gas camping stoves, no lighting of lanterns.
NO FLAMMABLE FUELS
In addition, please do not bring into the house anything that contains flammable fuels whether liquid, gas or solid, even if they are stored in properly sealed containers (such as fuel bottles and propane gas tanks).
For the host's privacy and security, confirmed guests are not allowed to bring visitors into the house AT ANY TIME without explicit prior permission from the host. This includes but is not limited to family and overnight guests.
KEYS, LOCK CODES AND SECURITY
- to keep keys and lock codes issued to them secure and private,
- to not duplicate keys,
- to not share keys or lock codes with others,
- to immediately notify the host if a key is lost/stolen, or a lock code has been compromised,
- to lock their room door when leaving the house (this protects guests' belongings),
- to lock both locks on the front door when leaving the house.
For your security front door access is monitored 24x7 by video camera.
2% USE TAX FOR CITY OF LAFAYETTE
The City of Lafayette, Colorado requires that we collect a city use tax of 2% for every reservation. This tax is already included in the total amount you pay to AirBnB. The CIty of Lafayette also rrequires that we send you a pro-forma invoice after your reservation is confirmed, with the 2% tax shown as a separate line item with the exact dollar amount of the tax. This pro-forma invoice will be emailed to you via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for your records, but will be marked PAID, and requires no further action from you. This is for informational purposes only.
