This is our story with Sofus’s apartment. We rented the apartment as “whole apartment” in July for 312 euros for 4 nights. A couple of weeks before our departure, Sofus wrote us that we would have shared the house with another couple that stayed in his roomate’s room. We asked a little refund for that but he denied and offered to give us back only 12 euros. When we arrived in Copenhagen, we went to the apartment and a Sofus’s friend gave us the keys. We didn’t meet Sofus during our stay. We met the other couple who we had to share the house with and they told us our same story: they rented from Sofus’s roomate the apartment as “whole apartment” and then he told their that they had to share it with other people for the same price. So, definitely, they play the same game: they rent the whole apartment and after few days it becames a “shared apartment” for the same price. Luckily for us the others were nice and clean guys so we passed a pleasant stay. Our room was very big and comfortable but the rest of the house was in bad conditions. The kitchen was dirty and we found some liquid on the floor and the trash filled up. Glasses and pots were dirty and we had to wash them before the use. The bathroom was very very small without window and without shower. There was only a flexible cane attached to the sink. We suggest not to rent this apartment to avoid bad surprises.
My friend and I booked this space to rent for the weekend as an "entire home" rental. When we got there, we were told his roommate would be there that night, but not the rest of the stay. We were annoyed, but decided that it was just one night, so not a huge deal. The next day, I got an email from him saying there had been "miscommunication" and his roommate had two people staying in his room. I tried to call air b&b to cancel the reservation, but after 1.5 hours of no one picking up, we dropped it. We were extremely disappointed that we were lied to and did not feel comfortable with other people staying in the place we had rented as an entire home, but we didn't really have a choice. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty and it was on the 6th or 7th floor with no elevator--not the worst thing, but very difficult with bags and would have been nice to know upfront.
