'Church View' is a traditional Austrian detached property set in a rural village. It is 20 mins from quiet ski slopes, 30 mins from swimming lakes and 20 mins from Feldkirchen. Visitors have full access to the middle and top floors of the property.
Church view is in the centre of a friendly Carinthian village. The house itself was built in 1948 and is a detached property located on a peaceful lane and is surrounded by its own garden.
You, the guest, have full access to the first and second floor of the house, the ground floor is our own private flat for when we are on holiday ourselves. We are, however, never there when we have guests so this means you always have the place to yourselves.
The property is traditionally furnished with benched seating in the family room/ kitchen of each flat. There are full cooking facilities in each kitchen with a dishwasher in the first floor kitchen. You are welcome to use whatever you want from either of the two kitchens, wherever you need them. All we ask is for you to return the items to the original places at the end of your stay for the next guest to use.
There are two bathrooms and each has a bath. There is a shower above the bath on the first floor and a hand held shower for hair rinsing on the second floor.
In the bathroom on the first floor there is a washing machine for your use. Drying racks can be found in the small room off the kitchen on the middle floor. There is also a washing line outside and a washing line off the top balcony, which is protected from showers if you're out for the day.
On the ground floor, there is a space under the stairs where you can safely leave your skis, boots, coats etc.
While we do not have any cots, there is a stair gate at the top of the first floor stairs.
First and second floors are where you will be staying.
While I am not on site, you can contact me by text or email. The key lady (Juliana) lives close by and should be telephoned on arrival for the key.
Tourist tax of 1 euro pppn is payable on arrival to Juliana.
Key deposit of 100 euro is also to be paid to Juliana but this is refunded at the end of your stay when you return the key.
Guests are expected to behave in a civilised manner - how would you behave if you were staying at your grandmother's house? Think about it... this is how I would like you to behave. This is strictly a non-smoking house. Pets are sadly not allowed.
I am a retired Art teacher. Now that I am retired, I spend a huge amount of time on my allotment and in my garden. I visit family in Austria who live near the house in Deutsch-Griffen. I have two grown up children and two grandchildren who live and work in the Netherlands.
