Your guest room (or course) and bathroom/toilets on 1st floor. We have our own bathroom on the top floor. Sorry, no cooking in our kitchen (we've had too many breakages/mess and things going missing in the past ): You can help yourself to coffee or tea, and there's always cold filter water in the fridge. Feel free to store food in the fridge as long as it's not meat or fish – we're a veggie-friendly home! You're welcome to eat/drink at the breakfast bar in the kitchen.
Always happy to help; answer any questions and guide you in the direction of Brighton's finest bars, restaurants and places of interest. We often have literature about Brighton and maps that you are welcome to borrow.
Don't be surprised if were not around; sometimes we take off to the Downs in our motorhome. But if you have any questions I will answer them as soon as possible via the airbnb app.
Parking ain't easy in Brighton. If you're planning a long stay it could prove expensive. You can always leave your vehicle the other side of Preston Park around the Bavant Road area, where you can park for free. It's about a 20 minute walk to our home if you take the short cut along Lover's Walk. If you have a lot of luggage you might want to drop it off first.
Please remove shoes and leave in the hallway.
Keep the noise to a minimum after 11pm on school nights – the boy needs his beauty sleep!
Sorry, no use of kitchen for cooking (we've had too many breakages/mess in the past ): making tea or coffee is fine.
NOTE: we are a vegetarian household. Please don't store or prepare meat or fish anywhere in our kitchen.
You can learn more about us from our profile on website membership number 87818. But briefly, I'm a writer (semi-retired Creative Director), my partner Al is a Senior nurse; and our last remaining son still living at home is former Street Dance World Champion attending Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance. Between us we've traveled every continent and finally settled in Brighton, a city we love for its diversity of people, its surrounding countryside and of course, the seafront. We regularly exchange homes and host foreign students every summer.
