The room was very comfortable and shower pressure and heat was great. Nice couple extra surprises upon arrival. Checking in was a bit unclear, it was dark and BnB doors were locked with no one inside. Turns out you have to check in at the wine shop (owned by the same family). Provided that was clearer, we certainly recommend staying here.
My husband and I stayed here for one night following our wine tasting at Castello de Banfi. The room we were given, #5, was decorated nicely. The only complaints I had were about the bathroom. As soon as I opened the door it smelled like urine and the towels were very stiff and thin. The air conditioner didn't work very well either. We ended up sleeping with the windows wide open to try and cool off. Now, there were very good things about staying here too. The breakfast spread we came down to was outstanding. The mom makes homemade jams that are out of this world. The downstairs was decorated so cute too. She recommended a local pizzeria that we walked to a different the food was made by Vincenzo a day his family. Best pizza I have EVER had and that includes Brooklyn, NY.
Giannetti was very welcoming and made us very nice breakfasts. The room was clean and we had a beautiful view of the countryside from our window. Also since we were the only guests at the time we also had the exclusive use of the downstairs breakfast room, which was a real bonus. The town of Sant'angelo is very very tiny so we spent our free time in Montalcino, which is about a 15 minute drive away.
